I'm glad for him but I'm not sure if it'll work, he's in the rock industry, drug use is common so it'll be extra hard for him. He's still an amazing poet, and if drug use does end up destroying the guy (which I certainly hope it doesn't), I can almost guarantee that the media *cough* will write of how great he was. I mean look at George Best. Such fickle people...

Reading about Doherty, reminds me of some of the antics of Johnny Rolfe and Paul Rowan of NYC's Hunting Bigfoot. Just hoping they survive one another.

Whether you like his music or not, 90% of all the movies you've watched, songs you've listened to, books you've read, or art you've looked at was created by someone with an alcohol, substance abuse issue, or emotional issue. So maybe you shouldn't be so pious. We've all got our flaws and things we're not particularly proud of - have you got the guts to admit yours? Or as you as perfect and beyond reproach as you so lamely try to project?

I would hope a jounralist could ascertain the diffference between ADDITIONS and ADDICTIONS - maybe than you will be able to write for a proper website/publication about real stories or with a proper opinion not just spitteful scathing remarks.

Revo, interesting comparison. I saw Hunting Bigfoot last summer and is definitely like watching a runaway train about to go off the cliff at any minute. I don't think Paul Rowan or Rolfe have heroin issues though, but they do seem on the brink an awful lot. I go to Kenyon college and Paul Rowan is an alumni from there which is why I first followed the band.

I do like "Down In Albion" and it does have the same self deprecating, staring one's self confessional tone of "so much for last year"
