  • Dating: Has persistence paid off for Bruce Willis? Months ago he unsuccessfully tried to put the moves on tsunami victim Petra Nemcova. No luck. But after making a donation to her charity, he scored her number. So what's their dealio now? "He's been really sweet to me, but I wouldn't call it dating," Petra tells Page Six. We'll see about that.
  • Farewells: West Virginia native Don Knotts -- from The Andy Griffith Show and Three's Company -- passed away on Friday of pulmonary and respiratory complications. He was 81. I sure loved that Mr. Furley... Another passage? Darren McGavin is dead at 83. He was the dad in The Christmas Story with the leg lamp. Great flick.
  • Benefits of Winning an Oscar: According to a study of actors and actresses, Oscar winners live longer than nominees who didn't take home the statuette. Does this mean George Clooney is going to live a long life? Hope so...
  • Box Office: Tyler Perry's Madea's Family Reunion got people to come together at theaters over the weekend. It was the number one movie with $30.25 million.

I love the Andy Griffith show, and Don Knotts as Barney Fife was fabulous. He was such an endearing charachter. I also loved his movies. You could always count on being entertained, and having good clean fun. Unlike most comedic actors today (so raunchy) I'm going to miss Mr. Knotts. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Thank you Don for all the hours of laughter.

I just love Tyler Perry. It's something about a saved, intelligent, talented, hard-working Southern Black man getting what he has the old-fashioned way: through faith in The Lord and working for it!
