I think they are perfect for each other, have a lot in common, and am happy to see a wholesome, believable ending.

a refreshing "end" to this part of their story....much more satisfying than watching the "sluttiest" be chosen on shows such as "elimi-date", etc. Nice girls do finish first, in the long run...too bad more women don't understand that the worldly aggressiveness that gets them ahead in the workplace doesn't necessarily exptroplate to what is needed when a finding a mate.

As a person with many layers and a lot of depth to her, I feel for Moana. It's an amazing feeling to find someone breaks through and "gets" you. As much pain as she's going through now, she's a better person knowing that love like that does exist for her somewhere. She can no longer go through life numb and indifferent. She'll find him.

He definitely made the RIGHT choice with Sarah. Moana has too much baggage for a nice guy like Travis. Her family was rude and nasty too him and she continued the family tradition with Travis' family. They were all trying to be nice to her. Sarah is the real thing..

Travis and Sarah are like a match made in heaven. Just because someone is "exotic" or has great fashion sense does not make her a good match. If Travis at 33 is looking for the real deal -- someone to grow old with, to share his life and his interests and be an honest part of the family -- then Sarah was CLEARLY the right choice. And who are we to judge? Travis had to go with his gut and follow his heart.

I think he made the right choice. The clincher was when Moana stated that when she gets confused and upset she retreats to herself. That is someone who cannot express or communicate. It was obvious when she could not answer how she felt about Travis. If you are in Love with someone, it is easy to say why and what you love about them. She unfortunately has a very tall wall about her. Someone has hurt her deeply and she has a very hard time dealing with any emotion especially love. Wouldn't want that for my brother.

Remember with Trista on the Bachelor... her heart was broken... but waiting in her future was this awesome guy, Ryan. I would take a "Ryan" over anyone, anyday. I have a "Ryan", and I know that your future holds one for you. This experience was meant for you to open your heart, and be ready for when the real one comes for you. I know it feels like it should have been Travis, but just think... if it felt this good with the one that wasn't "the one"... what it is going to feel like with THE ONE!! Moana - I thought he was joking at first, too. Shocking! But I'm sure you know - that if that's what he wants - you don't want him. The right one will choose you, too.

Let's see how long they will last. The other bachelors from the last bachelor shows didn't really get married to the women they chose.

Travis and Sarah based their relationship of off something lasting, while his and Moana's was very special but at the same time they were very infatuated with each other. In the end he picked the one he could grow old with and that was the RIGHT CHOICE! Plus Moana isn't as naturally pretty as Sarah...I mean come on! Did you see her when she woke up in the morning? She looked BEAT while Sarah just looked plain cute!

I felt myself first rooting for Sarah as the underdog. Was surprised she was chosen. The synchronicity of the Nashville connection, the families' reaction,
being low maintenance and quasi- virginal were strong factors. Sarah received a ring and chain around her neck - "going steady."

That being said, I was disappointed when Moana was not chosen. There was a
natural chemistry - felt M's worldliness, sophistication and emotional intelligence complimented Travis qualities. However there is that x factor. Moana could move from silence to tears to poker face in 3 seconds flat - bipolar? Not necessarily a bad thing...

Sarah was further along in the process of individuation - knowing truly who she is and expressing it.
Moana may still have more inner work to do in integrating all her aspects.

T dissed the relationship (i cringed) - "it was both what we wanted...a romantic....in Paris."
Moana left the door open - "perhaps in another time and another place."

TRAVIS may not be ready to settle into a relationship while he is in this stage of his life. IT seems as tho the show was ready for him before he was even aware of the show

Why do women go on this show? You know that in the end even if the bachelor is very into you, you still have a 50% chance of getting your heart broken. Moana said she wishes she hadn't opened her heart up in the first place. I couldn't do this show knowing I might be in for so much pain at the end.

I think Sarah and Travis are not going to last. Sarah's expectations of "happily ever after" are way too much. The way she was desperately trying to get him to stay after meeting his parents makes me think that there is no way she would be able to handle a husband working 36 hour shifts.

Also the way she kept saying that he/they were "perfect" made me want to assault my TV. Nothing in life is perfect. Things take work. If she expects that she is setting the relationship up to fail.

To Moana, from what I saw, you are an incredible person who inspired me. I am so sorry you were hurt. Please don't retreat into your shell. He is truly a fool and I am very tempted to go across the Vandy campus and tell him. I hope you find someone who will truly appreciate you. Please don't let people's comments hurt you. You were a real person with real emotions being shown against someone one dimensional who tried to be "perfect." Again, you inspired me

Moana seemed to have SO much baggage for being just 26 years old. She played the mysterious woman but in reality, she was just an emotionally unstable woman with a chip on her shoulder. She goes thru life looking for the next man to hurt her to validate her opinion that men are just out to hurt her. I was very sad to watch the rejection. You know it will add to her belief that she just can't trust a man with her heart.

She couldn't answer a straight question to the parents. When she said crap like, I looked in his eyes and saw my soul or I can't articulate the magnitude of the depth of what I am feeling... sniff sniff. Oh puke! All the crying she did just made her look unstable. She was downright rude to T's parents... not a good first impression on the potential in-laws.

Sarah, on the other hand, came across as pure of heart, genuine and someone with good morals. She is the type of woman a man desires as the mother of his children. Add to that the fact that she is just too cute, I think they are perfect!

Sarah is the girl next door. With her southern upbringing and worldly innocence, life for Travis probably will be perfect. He will have a woman at home that he can trust, that will open up to him emotionally and that will provide a soft place for him to fall after a long shift at the hospital. Drama is not what he needs at home. He needs to come home to a woman who is not full of emotional pain that needs to retreat to herself. Sarah has a great opportunity to provide him a warm, loving home. I wish them the best of luck. Beginning a romance on reality tv is anything but reality. So much is editted to create "good tv".

It was obvious that Moana was heartbroken. My heart went out to her but I thought that Travis made the best choice.

I think Moana was more in love with the idea of Travis and the fact that he accepted her. She is not in a place in her life to take a step like marriage. Sarah and Travis are in the same place in their lives. They are set in their careers doing what fills their passions and they were two self suffiecent individuals looking for something more. Yes it would have been nice for them to start out with that firy passion from the get go, but in all reality, when the flames fizzle, it comes down to who is your best friend and will stick with you through life's up's and downs. I wish them the best!

Sarah acted the part of the teenage cheerleader throughout. Moana was the adult. Maybe being a doctor Travis worked to hard in high school and didn't get to enjoy it, so now he's reliving it. Look at his buddies that were on earlier in the show. The man was a geek, so the cheerleader was a big score for him.

Moana was the hands down choice and he blew it. Ridiculous!

Please remember editing! Everyone says there was no chemistry between Sarah and Travis. I wouldn't be suprised if ABC edited a lot of their "chemistry moments" so everyone would think he would pick Moana. Television is always looking for that big upset. I wish them all the best and just remember only Travis, Sarah and Moana know the real story.

Nah. There was no chemistry between Travis and Sarah even in the final moments of the show. I think he picked the one that "looked good on paper" and ignored his true feelings for Moana. She had one of the more honest portrayals on the show. I actually felt Sarah was less geniune. She was the one that was more in love with the idea of being with someone like Travis. I felt truly bad for Moana last night.

I think he made a terrific choice. Sarah was very sincere and the two of them have many similar qualities. They are perfect for one another and yes, maybe there weren't sparks flying, but indeed there is a friendship they have that will allow their relationship to last.

For those of you who criticze his reaction to his family...you haven't been involved in a longterm relationship. Your family is ALWAYS there...ALWAYS...if you are close to them. Travis is a doctor and hopefully mature. He maybe understands there's more to life than chemistry. It may seem boring, but the friends I know who married are STILL married...the lust mongers, of which I was one but didn't know any better, are probably divorced or out playing around still looking for that thing called love (lust)...So Moana got hurt...she's young, beautiful and probably all over it...and if Travis and his cheerleader make it...good for them. It's nice to see nice people finish...

moana didn't kiss the family's butts, so they didn't like her. normally, in our culture, the woman doesn't have to impress the family and grovel for their acceptance, the man does. sarah is a plain jane... nice girl or not. moana was the one who travis had a connection with, and he probably was intimidated by her, since she didn't sit there and kiss his a$$ and act fake like sarah.

Sara is the perfect girl, she knows what she wants in life... i am sure she will make him very happy... when the girls met his family, Sarah was totally herself... Moana was unconfortable, you could actually see that... she was a fake... the whole crying scene... just a pose....no victim is gonna win nothing... just be yourself... so what Moana was fashionable and Sarah was not, it's not about fashion... and ok, they had connection, but that could easily break...Sarah is the winner either America or the rest of the world likes it or not... why do always the slutty ones have to win??? Sarah is definitely more EMOTIONALLY stable/together than Moana (a busy M.D. needs that!) However, I doubt that Travis & Sarah have enough sexual chemistry to last. I see them ending up as FRIENDS. Travis & Monana had sexual chemistry, but I think he could see that Moana doesn't knows who she is yet! Moana was too emotionally volatile! She made the "process" about HER "emotional growth" rather than a connection with Travis. If she wants to date a doctor, she should try a psychiatrist! She obviously has some past ISSUES to work through. Good luck to her.

I despise the word perfect, "I'm perfect. We're perfect. You're perfect for me." The perfect little doctor and his perfect little wife. I definitely think that for Sarah it was the idea of "perfect" more than a true connection with Travis. I just didn't see it. Could her attitude with her mother when they were shopping for the ring and the dress have been more glib? She and her mom were both competitive at that point, "You need to show him that side of you," mom said when she chose the low-cut dress. And, "I only have one more chance," was what she had to say about the final night's date.
As for Moana, as beautiful as she is and as deeply moved as she seemed to be, she just seems very volatile and emotionally unstable. Definitely needs to do some work on her issues of abandonment or whatever it is that makes her so detached from people (like every single woman in the house, Travis the first few weeks.) The reaction to "What do you see in our son?" was embarrassing.
Has a bachelor the option to choose neither

I was happy with the final choice of Sarah. I think in the short amount of time that they had to get to know one another she was the right pick. Moana was just too complex a person to get to know in that time frame. I was overall very happy with the show this season. I have in a couple of past seasons turned it off after the second night. I am not interested in seeing a single version of desperate housewives.

"gorgeous" is UGLY

I think Sarah is good for Travis, maybe not the best looking. They seem perfect for each other, and I think Moana is beautiful, and wouldn't be happy with him. She seems like she has a wild side she would let out at a club, but I can't say the same for Dr. Travis.

Overall I think he made a good choice.

i just couldn't get over the fact that moanas boob kept falling out of that pretty dress. on top of being sent home, i bet she was embarassed that ABC had to pixelate her dress at one point because the nipple was peaking out.

Edgy, "wild", complex and emotionally unpredictable. Two horrible family visits. He was probably scared s@*t-less. Can't blame the guy for going with good, safe and predictable.

I saw a posting in mid-January that said Travis and Sarah were seen working out together at a YMCA in Nashville. That was after the first episode aired... So they were still together at that point.

Yes, I saw Moana's boob. Such a shame because the dress was gorgeous. And she looked pretty, too... I was not a huge fan of either of them. But Sarah was so blah. So I was pulling for Moana. Oh well. BORING!

Moana is better off without him. He can't be with a woman who is obviously more intelligent than he is. Sarah has a quiet confidence, which is nice. I think they will make a great couple.

If he wants to portray the perfect life (wife, kids, career) he did choose right by Susan. But sincerely, it was a poor choice : too secure and too previsible. Moana was more his alter-ego. Someones to challenges every spice of his life. Make him more adventurous. Make him want more on his life. A very bad choice that will cost his passion for life.

I think he made the right decision based on this requirements for a Dr.'s wife. And did Moana ever make a mistate when she said she didn't need him! This is such a typical situation with the lamest of guys. They meet someone who they think is perfect (Moana) and fall for them, everything is wonderful, and then they decide to throw it all away just to take the easy way out. This happens all the time. He took the easy way out, and he will regret it probably later on for a long time. Instead of opening up to the real thing, he decided to be a coward. It is so annoying when some guys do this. BUT, the good thing is is that the woman in this bad situation (moana) eventually will meet a man who is mature enough for her and who can HANDLE that type of love...so in the end, Moana is better off and she will know that once she meets the right guy. This happened to me too, so I really deeply felt all of Moana's pain last night, I could feel exactly what she felt, it is so horrible but the grass will be greener no doubt!

Moana is a complete emotional mess. Before she gets into ANY relationship she needs to go to counseling. When you like someone and haev a connection you should be able to tell the WORLD. Sarah is beautiful, upbeat, mature, stable, and will make a great mom (something that is very important to Travis).

Moana couldn't take care of a hamster, let alone raising a child. She is so self-absorbed, she ought to be on Dr. Phil next. Moana's got a nice smile and terrific body. After that, she's a loser!

I was impressed with the final two. I felt that Travis was lucky to have had a woman feel so deeply for him (Moana). She appeared to be a complex person but that (to me) is a very attractive quality. Exquisitely beautiful woman too. Sarah impresses me with her down to earth qualities and I think Travis found her comfortable. After having done that he appeared to be conducting an experiment with Moana to unravel her "layers" of mystery. Not being quite able to do that, he settles for Sarah. I'm not sure if that makes for a long time relationship or not. Moana, if your out there, believe that there are men who find you extraordinary. Please allow someone to care for you like you deserve.:)

I have often felt that these shows are more about how these people get off on their own reflection in the Bachelor or Bachelorette's eyes than it is about getting to know them. "He gets me. He accepts me for who I am."
I think it was the girl with Andrew Firestone who seemed most enamored with how he thought she was beautiful, interesting (not), funny, smart. I remember thinking, what the heck does that have to do with your feelings for him.
It makes me wonder if that isn't how we are more often than not in romantic relationships-the person is simply a mirror into our own reflection, and if we like what we see (i.e., how they see us) we are more apt to like them for it.

On a toob box level, Sarah is pillow cute, loyal and low maintenance whereas Moana is sophisticated, talented and savvy. Travis being a doctor relied on his analytical and logical skills and chooses safe Sarah over Wild Moana. -- very predictable.

On a humanistic level there's a subtle but very important notion that even though there seems to be a conscious selection process with the rose ceremony and what not, you always get (end up) who you deserve and not want or need.
Especially Travis being mature enough to know the potential heartaches for him should he chooses Moana. He would have to choose her over his family, no guy would ever do that!
Yes yes Moana is more intelligent, sophisticated and in control of her sexual energy etc.. but she would be bored with Travis eventually when the cameras are turned off. So he is sobotaging their relationship early out of respect for Moana.

i dont know if he chose right. there were things about each of the girls i liked and hated. i was just worried for Moana (even though i got very sick of hearing the same break through confessions, the drama and the constant crying) I am worried that since she opened up and got hurt, that she wont open up again. if she really felt like she said she did, i am sure she is DEVASTATED. my opinions about either of the girls DONT matter, i wont judge them, but if Moana reads this: DONT GIVE UP. i know its cheesy....but im like you sister. i got hurt so much in love...and i DONT have my happy ending. but for the first time i BELIEVE it COULD happen...when i was hurt before i thought this was the end and i shut myself off. and i am so scared she is going to do that. She has too much to offer. so stay open moana. its hard, it hurts, but some day i believe it will pay off. im no optimist, but i cant stand being depressed and thinking there is no hope. humans need hope to function, let alone flourish.

I like both girls, got to like Moana more as time went on. I do think she carries baggage and Sarah has none. I notice the men like Moana, including my husband, and the women like Sarah better - so Yay for Travis who did not pick the obvious! The fact is, he was happy whenever with Sarah. The show keeps us going with the clips they choose to show us and the ones they leave out. I hate it that the camera doesn't let up when the dumped woman rides away in the limo. It's MEAN! Actually as much as I enjoy the show, it is pretty mean.

I always liked sarah. I thought she was a kind, genuine person. I think the fact that she and Travis shared familiar backgrounds and values are the resons why she won. Moana seemed really sweet, but she was to emotional of a girl for Travis. In the end it came down to the two people (Travis and Sarah) who seemed to have that friendship and chemistry. I think that their connection was a stronger one because they were friends first. That's what creates the basis for a strong and loving relationship. They'll have time to create that spark as they spend more time together and find out more about eachother. Congrats Sarah!

first off, we loved moana, my sister, boyfriend and i thought she was dynamite she was honest, heartfelt, classy and downright gorgeous. sarah, well i hate to say it was a bit boring in fact we changed the channel as soon as travis walked back into the house to say goodbye to moana, we couldn't stomach the "fakiness" that we were going to see with sarah and travis, it just felt ucomfortable, becauase deep down they didn't have that bond. we all figured it was good for him to have someone local that he could date while finishing your residency. as for travis, you are wonderful human being and you bring both class and charm to a touch situation.

MOANA- you rocked and if travis couldn't see that well, he'll settle for apple pie and knitted sweaters not to mention a very, very boring sex life.

I think he had to make a choice; Sarah was at least a real friend. Who know what will happen now that the cameras are off? Unfortunately for Moana, a woman needs more than great looks and a calculated plan to succeed with a great guy. Travis was obviously not wanting to settle down with a woman you "play" with. A lesson learned. Genuinely sorry Moana. Good luck though.

please respect Travis's choice... there was a lot the camera didn't show... yes, i was surprised to be rejected but in hindsite, it was the best decision for him. i have had these months to heal and life goes on. they make a great couple... if the camera would have let you see you would agree.

I just love Moana! I have been searching the internet all day for information on her. I am not sure if the entry from her here is really her or not? That doesn't mean that I think that Travis made the wrong choice. I think that he WAS blind and Sarah might be cute now but, she is going to look just like her mom in 20 years! I also think he was insulting when he chalked Moana and his relationship up to a romantic tryst in Paris and told her "I can't choose you". He could have chosen her! He just didn't! How insulting. Their relationship would have been filled with SO much more passion. Moana blew it with the fam...even if the neice was rooting for her!

Even though most of the bachelor hook-ups don't last past show expiration date, I admit I was thrilled he chose Sarah. Moana has too much emotional baggage...I'm sure a lengthy relationship with her would be just plain TIRESOME...Travis, as an ER doctor, experiences so much trauma at work--does he really need more in his personal life? Moana needs an older, wealthy man (maybe a European)--someone who will be able to cope with her-er-uniqueness (can't think of a better word). Believe me, I'm a cynic when it comes to successful relationships--but Travis and Sarah have similar backgrounds and, seemingly, lots in common. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they live happily ever after.

I really think Travis and Sarah will be great together as long as they work at their relationship like every other relationship. They do have similar backgrounds but they also have different interests which keeps life interesting. All I want to know is are they still together as a couple now that the show is over??

Supposedly there is a post here FROM MOANA that states: "He (Travis) was blind." Obviuously, you were the one who was blind. All I can say is, you never really knew him. Travis didn't choose you because he didn't feel that you were right for him!!!! Look at the situation for what it was, not what you hoped/DREAMED it MIGHT be.

Travis was creepily boring and so was Moanna (world's ugliest name?). Sarah had a little spunk to her at least. I think she wanted the whole package and knew what to do to get it/him. Bachelor or no bachlelor, I do not understand all these tributes of support for Moanna - an average-looking head case! She was almost as nutty as the "ready for procreation" chararcter. First date, she was too good for the show or Travis, second date she was falling in love with him. By the third, he had changed her whole life, "looked into her soul, rocked her to her core.." Gag, choke, barf. Sarah and Travis both seemed a tad dull and very guarded - as you would hope normal people living their lives on reality TV would - not having nervous breakdowns for the cameras.

What is the big deal with Moana??? What is so great about her? Did anyone see the show? you all have no clue what you are talking about. Someone had commented on the name "Moana". I looked it up and it is Hawaiian in origin and means ocean. What an appropriate name for such a talented, caring, deep and lovely woman. My heart goes out to you Moana. You are a real class act and you deserve the BEST!

seriosly...just because someone has good looks or fashion sense dosent mean that they are "the perfect couple." travis wanted a real girl with things going for her and a girl that he ultimately loved for her kind and loving ways. i think that he made the right choice by choosing Sarah. Travis can afford to keep Sarah looking young the rest of their lives with all the plastic surgery she needs. Don't worry about how Sarah's mom looks.

Travis chose the wrong woman. He based his decision on all the wrong factors.

1) He praised Sarah for not saying anything mean about Moana, but he did not know that Sarah was one of the "mean girls" on the show who picked on Moana because they were jealous of the attention she was getting from Travis. Sarah was also the one who called Moana a "bitch". So, he thinks he got a nice girl, but she is just as catty as the girl he kicked off the show because she is immature/too young.

2) Travis wants adventure and the mountains. Sarah wants to stay in Nashville and she can't even play tennis much less climb a mountain or do anything adventurous. They are incompatible.

3) Sarah is very fake to me. Deliberately using children to get a man is manipulative. How many times is she going to do the "tooty ta ta" with children to show Travis that she is maternal. The ironic thing is that Travis's niece likes Moana better and Moana was not trying to suck up to the children.

I'd like to answer Wondering's question on ... "Who names their kid MOANa". Also, Captianne- PAY ATTENTION!

Moana is the polynesian word for "Deep blue Ocean". Literally translated, "Where the Ocean meets the Heavens". It is a very sacred name and should be treated as such.

4) In the end, Travis couldn't handle that Moana was a real woman with faults. She tends to clam up in certain stressful situations, but had he really been in love or stronger in character, he would have chosen her anyway because he should have followed his heart. No one is perfect. Moana just showed her flaws more readily because she is genuine. He wasn't ready for that. He chose the Sarah because she gave all the "right" uptight answers which are probably just an act to "win" the game.

I thought both of the girls were equally impressive. However, I consider myself a good judge of character, considering I've been able to pick who they will choose every time. My thoughts every time are the same. You have to look down the road. If he wanted a long happy/stable life then he picked the right choice: Sarah. If he was only in it for the moment- then he should've picked Moana. Infatuation dies out. Real love lasts forever- despite what their parents look like or what they will look like in the future. A real relationship takes a lot of work.. it isn't easy, but the main goal is to be happy and have somebody you can work with and that you feel comfortable with. You could tell on the show how comfortable Travis and Sarah were with eachother. You have to be more friends in a relationship.. it's not all about the romance... one day that will die and then what will you have to talk about. :)

I think that the Doc made the right choice.... Moana took the risk of being rejected when she signed up for the reality show so too fricken bad...she certainly got her my space addy recognized hahaha she has like 3000 friends in there and your tellin me she cant get a date?? Honestly, I liked Susan. I don't think he'll last long with Sara. Looking at him when he was with Moana, I think he really liked, or loved, her more. Sara was too shallow, her words of choice were like "Awesome, cool, neat" and Moana's words were "Amazing, wonderful, perfect" Moana would've been the much better choice, I mean sure, she cried a lot, but I think that a lot of that was stress. She kept saying how she's never felt like this about someone else in her life, and to be honest, if I were in her position, I'd probably be crying a lot too. Moana is from the OC (fake)!!! Moana's friends (phoney) would have ate Travis for dinner. Lust, romance, and Paris are not the real world. Travis is a smart man.
