I too remember Suzy's friend getting hit on before. I will have to go back and read to find out which Actor it was.

I think Suzy's friend was drunk and one of the waiters hit on her and in her intoxicated state thought it was Fred. When she sobered up she realized the waiter actually looked like Danny Devito and was too embarrassed to say so. So she said it was Fred.

I agree with the comments above. This is one person's interpretation of what happened-"hitting on" might have been innocent flirting. Frankly, I question the motives of this so-called "friend".

He was probably just being friendly. He seems like a very charming young man. He was just being innocently charming and the friend mistook it for something else.

There are women that are so full of themselves they think every man that says "Hi" is hitting on them. Probably the case here.
