I think it is unfair for mentally challenged people to be paired up with Paris in anyway. The mentally challenged community has more class, brains, and heart than Paris could ever hope to have.

A big reason why calling someone a "retard" is so taboo is that, as hinted at by Holl21 and Tracey, doing so associates a condition which many people are unfortunate enough to have to deal with and cannot prevent, with a derogatory term. The PC-ness of it is not that "retard" is so harsh toward the person being called the term, but that making "retard" an insult is a slam against people who cannot help their condition. The insult is not to Paris, but to the people you associate her with.

I believe that Paris Hilton definitely has something wrong with her. While I was attending Utah State University, I worked with the mentally retarded segment of the population. Without question, Paris Hilton would have fit right in with these unfortunate people who were born with components of their brain not working correctly. When you look at Paris's smile (it never changes) and her simple personality, you cannot but agree with me. Paris cannot help the fact that she says and does things that are very unorthodox in a mentally retarded way.
