I have to say, these complaining parents have got their heads on backwards. Daniel Radcliffe is a real person who has an acting career and isn't going to be playing Harry Potter all his life. He obviously doesn't want to be typecast as the little wizard boy with glasses and wants to prove he can take on more challenging roles than the misunderstood orpan he plays in Harry Potter (I love H.P but you have to admit it is a common character role to portray). So what if he's naked in a stage production - it's his job and you don't have to force your kids to watch it. They're not gonna march into the theatre to take front seats anytime soon. Radcliffe isn't bound to a law that states he can only be in non-sexual, PG rated movies. And anyway, he isn't stripping in Harry Potter six - why stop your kids from watching that?? That's why they love him, isn't it?

If you really dissaprove of Radcliffe's role in the play then don't encourage your little kids to look up to him. Personally I think this always happens; little kids become fans of young pop stars and actors and then they grow up and start doing more adult things - and to his credit, Radcliffe isn't doing trashy sexual movies or making scenes and dramas in his real life - he is taking on a more professional and mature role than I would have thought possible of him so good on you Daniel, I hope all goes well!

Equus is an amazing show, I've seen it performed as a high school production, (meaning 14-18 year olds) so I don't see what the big stink is about. Would people be making as large a deal of this if it were another young actor?

I personally am glad to see Daniel breaking away from HP. I thought he was adorable in those too, but he can definitely become a more rounded actor by branching out. I saw the photos, and yes, I might be prejudiced towards his gorgeous body, but I still think people should just let the poor boy do his play instead of making such a big stink about it. Nobody's making them go see it.
