David Hasselhoff's Boozefest Caught on Tape
Dave's rep says he asked his kid to tape him so he could get a good idea of how he acts while he's inebriated. Last night, per Extra, Hoff gave this statement:
"I am a recovering alcoholic. Despite that I have been going through a painful divorce and I have recently been separated from my children due to my work. I have been successfully dealing with my issue. Unfortunately … I did have a brief relapse, but part of recovery is relapse. Because of my honest and positive relationship with my children, who were concerned for my well-being, there was a tape made when I had a relapse to show me what I was like. I have seen the tape. … I have learned from [the tape], and I am back on my game."
Just sad.

I dont think its right for him to have his 16yr old kid making the video for him. But hey, if thats what it takes for him then good job. Some people just need a daily reminder. which isnt a bad thing.

He's right guys.....relapse is unfortunately a part of many recoveries. While involving his ow daughter seems like a bad move, this tape may be what he needed to smarten his ass up.
Why is this so big in the news when the story about him beating his wife (source http://www.unregisterednews.com/content/view/145/50/) hardly got any airtime?

Just another pathetic "star" story. And, yes, to have his daughter make the tape was crazy in itself. I suppose he is blaming ex-wife for tape's release (or maybe Debra Opri, her attorney). The guy is a creep.
As the adult daughter of a recovering alcoholic, I don't see the point in being upset that his daughter is the one that taped him. I assume his daughter has has seen him be drunk before. She has probably asked him questions to find out why he drinks and tried to plead him to stop. The only difference this time is that this incident is video taped. If this helps him to never relapse again then good for the two of them for coming up with this plan.
What is disturbing to me is the tape being released to the public...no one else wants to or needs to see that.
