Dina Talks About Lilo's Partying
Dina Lohan sat down with Us Weekly to talk about the accusations that Lindsay is facing. Since a tape surfaced of her daughter's alleged drug use in a bathroom stall, Linds' mom/best friend/manager says the Lohan girls are just trying to ignore all the talk. Here's an excerpt from the article:
How is Lindsay holding up with the tape circulating? “We’re not reading anything about it. You can’t let it bother you. We work so hard, then some girl just tried to make money off her [for that tape]. Lindsay doesn’t even know who her friends are."Do you think Lindsay is at the clubs too much?
“This [premieres and parties] is the fun part of the business. She’ll be 21 in a few months. Regardless, of course, as a parents, you set boundaries and scold them. But there are these dark stories – she is so misunderstood. All she wants to do is act and have a somewhat normal life. When you’re 20, it’s normal to want to go to The Ivy, to go to the hot stores. She can’t live in a bubble.”Do you ever worry that she’s pushing herself too hard?
“When she doesn’t work, she’s so bored. I’ve told her, ‘Please slow down. Stop!’ She’s growing up and learning to do that. ... I’m her mother first: Everything could go away, and I couldn’t care less."

Their both losers, esp Dina. Linds might have had a chance if she had a different mother. I feel bad for her sometimes.
thsi Dina woman is starting to give me the tic. i'm in no position to judge but i think that if she was being a PARENT to Lindsey from the beginning and directing her, she wouldnt turn out to be the way she is. i'm not totally putting the blame on her but sometimes the parents are to blame for their kids downfall. i think Lindsey needs a parent and not another girlfriend.
This world is so screwed up! who cares about her drinking issues she is old enough to relize her own problems! She has it al at this point in her life and if she cant wake up and live the life she has the right way, then no one should care!This girl has the greatest opportunities she should be smart enough to hold on to them.Why is she working with her mother? thats her biggest problem! She needs to live her own life ... be independent, maby she will grow up when no ones there to hold her up!!!
Lindsey is smart, sounds like a little freak, but BE CAREFULL....DRUGS ARE DANGEROUS....... take a trip to hawaii, jump in the warm water, look at waterfall...... slow down babe!!!!! LIFE IS A PRECIOUS GIFT

Has anyone else noticed the PR shots of Mommy Dearest clutching Lindsay's awards and such? And where was Mommy/Manager when Lindsay was getting reamed by the Georgia Rule director for showing up late on set and such? While I'm not a huge Rosie fan, I think O'Donnell may have called it like it is: what is the child to learn from the parent when the parent is partying right next to them? With all of the stories that have been written over the past 2+ years, I just have to say in this case, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Dina needs to grow up and realize she's not only a mother, but an ADULT, and there's no way Lindsay can grow up to be an adult with someone like Dina for a mother.
I agree with you, Monique. Wholeheartedly. It's like the old adage, the blind leading the blind. Or in this case, the blond leading the blond. Ah, I made a funny. :-) But in all seriousness, how is this news? More importantly, why do we care? So she's a cokewhore. Just add it to the list.
I think this mother needs to come to terms with the fact she's got to get a grip! I mean who the h*ll let's thier kids carry on the way she condones her daughters actions. My mom would have kicked my butt for that! As far as Lindsey is conserned she's a spoiled brat. God help us. Hopefully she's not another Paris or Britney.
i think all this stuff is getting to old. there's so much other stuff going on in the world including all the other druggies (some celebraties i'm sure we DON'T about), why is everyone making such a big deal about this ONE! i think her and her mom should build their own wing in betty ford and live there permanently.
Why is Lindsay drunk when she's not 21 yet? It means those clubs and wherever the heck she goes to gives her alcohol even if its not legal. Why? PUBLICITY. Its gonna be in the news, "Lindsay was drunk dancing in this club" etc and the club mentioned will have free publicity, thus more people come in. MORE MONEY. Lindsay is young and naive, she falls prey to Hollywood games quite easily. POINT IS, I wish "mom" did her job.
if we all just sit back and think these are the things we did when we were kids, only we weren't on the front of a magazine. we experimented and some of us made it and some of us didn't. it's called taking a bite out of the apple. hello?
