Yes, I believe that Lindsay should be punish by her mistake. Just because she is an actress doesn't mean that she could get away with things, remember we are all human beings. If you do something that is illegal than join the people in jail, maybe giving her a scare in jail will make her change her ways and ask God for forgiveness.

duckman - I think the whole point here on this blog -- is the rich and famous getting away with what we peons don't . They have the money to hire "high class" lawyers -- lots of money to pay fines , etc. We small potatoes don't have that .

That's really low to lead with a headline like that! This girl/woman has already been dealing, and it sounds like successfully with her problem. The site made it sound as if she had another DUI arrest. I am ashamed of myself for reading this story (which was in my inbox), and I am going to take pains to be unsubscribed from this trash.

two years ago (when i was 24)i was arrested for DUI. that didn't stop me. it took a restraining order from my father and 4 trips to the ER for overdoses to get me to say "i want to change." i spent 30 days in rehab and it worked because i wanted to stop. lindsay could spend a year in rehab and it won't matter unless she sees a need to change. in fact she was just arrested again at 2:15 this morning. maybe if she has to do some jail time now she will want to change. its terrible that it might take jail or something worse but no one with an addiction will change until it is absolutely necessary.

I typically don't respond to articles like this, because the lives of Hollywood actresses and actors don't really interest me. However, Lohan keeps popping up on the TV and on my iGoogle start page. So she has a drinking and possible substance abuse problem. If the legal system doesn't give her special treatment then she might.... possibly get her SH*T together. :)

Best thing that could happen to her is if Hollywood rejects her and her career is over since its obviously leading her to kill herself.

On the other hand I will add that DUI laws are getting way Orwellian, and are used to raise revenue more than they are used to protect public safety.

And if the argument of protect public safety in a "vicitmless" crime such as DUI is valid, then why dont we have BWI "Barbecuing While Intoxicated" after all you "might" burn down the neighbors house or a forest just like you "might" kill someone in a DUI incident, so it ought to be a crime then also, and while we are at it how about a thousand more new laws to make criminals out of law abiding citizens.
