I think Xanax is the least of everyones drug problem in la la land. I would like to guess Demi, but can't see her leaving pills around for her teenagers to steal, but you never know.

stephanopoulos, just what drug do you think is the greatest problem in Hollywood? Alcohol? It's a drug, you know, Coke? Meth? Xanax is an extremely addictive anti-anxiey sedative, When taken over time , one requires more and more and more to get the same effect. If taken with alcohol, which of course it is, with abusers, it increases the high and if enough is taken it can be fatal.It is only supposed to be prescribed for short-term use only. However, many MD's AND patients abuse this, Most people do not lock up their prescriptions unless they have very small children. If it is Demi Moore and Rumer being referred to, Demi's kids are not very little. Rumer appears to be in the process of trying to be in the "in" crowd in Hollywood. So I could see herr stealing Mom's drugs, not necessarily for herself but to be "popular" with the "in crowd". Poor deluded, spoiled rich kids, looking for a high.
So you may not think Xanax is a problem, but it could be a HUGE problem, even unto death. Not trying to attack, but educate.

Well medicineman you might know a little more about it then I do, I don't take pills unless I'm dying! : ) I guess I figured coke was worse. Lets agree that taking anything not prescribed to you is a bad idea, and if it is prescribed to you and you are taking too much or sharing it, shame on you..you could cause a death.

I agree with stephanopoulos saying she doesn't take pills unless she is dying --- my whole family does not go to a doctor unless they are "falling down sick" . My mom hardly takes an asprin . I can not guess who the culprit is with the Xanax .

Rethinking it, it could be Lindsay and her Mom. I think she's out of rehab now, not sure. Her mother could definitely be a Xanax candidate. And even if rehabbed and sober, Lindsay is and always will be an addict, recovering or not. Unrecovered addicts still lie and steal.

A person in my family is a hypochondriac who has been taking pills his whole life for every ache and pain none to man. The side effects over the years has destroyed his heart muscles, he's at 45% on the muscle left. I seldom take prescripton pills unless it is the last resort. A Warning to all you young people. The pills will win in the end.
