it was good to see that a year later, this celeb is not just doing the 'holier than thou, don't get me dirty' tour we see so many celebs and government officials do... he's actually involved on a continuing level. Good for you Brad.

To those who commented on Anjelina...um, get real... that's not what this is about. And to the person who commented why Hollywood stars live in Hollywood homes... a couple points: #1--it is more efficient to use the resources that already exist (many of the star homes have already been greened up with the new energy saving technologies--they can afford the really good stuff); #2 many stars live elsewhere;commute to location shoots and redcarpets, which don't happen as much as you think.

Instead of wasting his money he is using it to help others, I have gone through New Orleans and saw the devestation first hand, the people there appreciate the smallest of gestures. Yet, I dunno I just get the feeling it's because his wife is into social issues re: adoptions. I have no problem with that...some other stars over the years adopted and didn't do too well...For instance Josephine Baker who probably no one here knows anything about, for give me if I'm wrong...adopted many children from many cultures and it was a disaster as she gave them no love...

My parents are both long gone and I am a grown up so I don't need them to back up my opinion about a movie "star".

I recycle everything I can...use the proper bulbs etc. If you want to get into the issue of who is most responsible for pollution...gov't policies or Suzie Q. Public...'nother issue.

I shall repeat it. I see no evidence of prior interest on his part in ANY social issue. I believe his motives are unclear...but if it helps one person change their habits...so be it.

Being green isn't about ditching everything you have and do and starting over with all organic/reusable/sustainable stuff. Someone earlier said it's better to use what you have and start one place at a time. They're right.
I recycle what I can, use the right bulbs, try to buy organic when I can, and take my own bags to the grocery store. BUT I drive an SUV. It's called evening it out. I have to have a car that seats 8 people, it's a fact of life, but I balance it by doing other stuff.

Too many people in this world think if you aren't perfect then you're a fake. God, I would hate to be in your life and have to be held to your standards every day, because trust me, most people would fail.

Not perfect: I know how you feel. Most "green" vehicles don't have the capacity to fit your whole family in them. Just keep doing what you can, every little bit helps. Way to go!
