David Beckham Busts His Knee
"It's just gone from one thing to another thing," he said after the game. "Maybe it's time for me to just say, 'I need the rest,' and get it right and don't come back until it's right. I'm devastated to have been taken out of the game, because I was looking forward to this game. I've been given the rest to try and get my ankle feeling better, and it felt better."
Unfortunately, David could be benched for at least month. "At this stage, it's hard to tell, but it doesn't feel good," he told reporters. "With a ligament strain, it's four to six weeks. We'll have to wait and see," he said Wednesday. "I'm going to have a scan tomorrow, and we'll see the full extent of what it is and how long I'll be out, but at the moment, it doesn't feel great."
Well, at least he has his looks.

The Beckham is a hellofa player -too bad about his knee - the remark "fragile" is uncalled for - many athletes get one injury after another - you don't hear about those guys , though , -just the Beckham because of his wife .
That's too bad, I hope he gets better fast. Maybe it is best to rest for a while. I bet Posh is making sure he's taken care, she's a good little wifey.

That is too bad about the knee. Athletes hate to be benched, especially when they're as good as he is.
I been watching that Beckham play a little bit on the sports channel and he is good . Gotta give him credit . Hate to see him sidelined and bet he hates it too .

I am a sports person however, I think he beckman like so many other athlets are way overpaid... how much was he paid to play for the Galaxy and how many minutes has he played in total... tell me does it make sense...
maggietalk -- yeah girl -- you have a point about the pay . They have to play and make the bucks while they can -- once read any article where an athlete is old at 25 . I still maintain he is good player .

It's not like he is getting injured on purpose. Ken Griffey Jr had the same problems for quite some time.

U obviously dont know much bout football so leave him alone. Injury happens to players all the time. It's a game where the players dont wear protective gears so injuries are bound to happen.
I liked the old days when you could go out and buy a complete set of golf clubs for $400.00, now a driver alone costs that. With millions of more people playing sports the rational would be sports equipment would have at least stayed affordable in all sports but because of huge endorsements the prices have skyrocked
