Lindsay Lohan Talks: "I'm Addicted to Drugs and Alcohol"
Lindsay Lohan has just issued this statement to TMZ:
"It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs.Recently, I relapsed and did things for which I am ashamed. I broke the law, and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty to the charges in my case. No matter what I said when I was under the influence on the day I was arrested, I am not blaming anyone else for my conduct other than myself. I thank God I did not injure others. I easily could have.
I very much want to be healthy and gain control of my life and career and have asked for medical help in doing so. I am taking these steps to improve my life. Luckily, I am not alone in my daily struggle and I know that people like me have succeeded. Maybe with time it will become easier. I hope so."

How would you handle it if your parents were nuts, the paparazzi hounded you and put on a pedestal then wanted to knock you down, Paris stole your boyfriends and told you to take your panties off and the paparazzie took photos, then she turned you on to illegal substances (not that I know she did), then stole your next boyfriend, then drove you around and let you out in front of the paparazziw thout your panties on, then ... then ... then ... I think she should move to Connecticut and get the cure of the air and a normal town. I don't think I could survive the cold, cruel world of lalaland out west.

She is pathetic!!! Just goes to show you that fame and fortune doesn't buy happiness. Even celebrity's are prone to feelings that us "ordinary joes" have: loneliness, insecurity, and depression. What's worse is that there is different punishments for the rich and famous. If I did what Lindsay did how long do you think I'd be sitting in jail?

I am sorry, JW, but there are plenty of young girls in Hollywood who are stars who don't have this trashy lifestyle and reputation.

If those girls can be big celebs with actual careers, then why couldnt Lindsay? They have the same papparazzi, and the same yes-people, and can get into all of the clubs too.
They just chose to take the high road.

Not long ago Paris was sitting in jail and said with the time she has had to reflect on her actions that she wanted no one to pray for her, Pray for our troops. Then she said she was going to be a more useful person when she got out. She mentioned reading the Bible and finding faith.I waited, I see they were just words. Lindsay, like Paris, has someone hired to write these words and it's up to them to just "say them" or honor them.

Sounds like she's got the right idea. I pray she sticks to it so that she doesn't have to live the rest of her life knowing she killed another person (even if by accident) when under the influence. You go girl!!!!

You know when i read this I actually thought she was sincere, but yet i am a fool i have a husband that does the same thing drugs alchohol mental abuse all lies and bull until the actually take responsibility do not believe her or anyone
Sadly,I think this girl has deeper problems than she or her family really want to face. I think they are in denial. I don't think she can truly change her life and face her addictions unless she gets out of the limelight and ditches her enablers.
Same old story I'm afraid. This time can we try and real place for people with alcohol and drug problems and stay longer than a few weeks. No breaks outside to play at the beach and so on. Until everyone in her life, including herself, starts treating this like the serious problem it is, nothing is going to work. She can't use the parents forever as an excuse and please no more saying "I'm just human". We know that LiLo and we want you to get better too but it isn't going to get easier so face up to it and start working to solve this. No more alcohol ever and certainly no more drugs. If she can go 6 mos without being arrested or caught using then I think we can start to believe she really does want to live a normal life.
Personally I think give her a chance. We all make mistakes and really is her behavior that different from others her age? Also a lot of it has to do with her friends, not just a coincidence that both Paris and Nicole have been in jail recently. Also the media do hound her (she could do more to avoid them) which they don't do to others (e.g. Mandy Moore and Hilary Duff) because they do not have to star status (or ability) that Lindsay does. Its a given that she has made some bad choices, but are they really choices that are that abnormal for someone her age? And haven't we all made mistakes?
what a joke this has all become with these kids and the laws. let any of us get busted for these things and they would lock us up and throw away the key !

She just needs to not drive and should lose her license as a second Dui offender i think it is either one year up to three years.She needs to stay in rehab for the most time she can at least a year to help her and her addictions and maybe after live in a sober living home with others who have ordinary lives and addictions.Her parents need help or she should dump them for using her. What type of jobs do they have or are they on a Lindsay Loan hand !!! Her parents need to let her move on and not be using her fame to have people interview you for your own gain. Big jerks that you are and it is your fault as you care only for her money !!
I want her to get better. She is an awesome actress and it's sad that she turned out this way.
