Britney's Comeback Performance Confirmed!
Here we go! MTV's has confirmed the rumors that Britney Spears will open the VMAs on Sunday. Brit will be singing her new song, which doesn't suck, called "Gimme More."
Her recent late night dates with creepy Criss Angel are, in part, due to him working on "some of the moments of the performance," says Jesse Ignjatovic, the executive producer of this year's VMAs. MTV is hoping to recapture some the past magic that Britney and MTV have made together. "I guess, looking back, we've had a great history with her," he said. "I wanted to start the show in a very big and dramatic way, and she's the one to do that. She'll captivate everyone, and set the tone for the rest of the night. There's no one better."
OMG, I'm so excited! Why? Because it will either be fantastic or a complete mess -- and, either way, I'll have something good to write about Monday morning!!

Sorry but i wasn't crazy about the song. You could so tell it had been fixed to me. Like every time she would start singing it sounded completely different than the voice before. I do hope she can get back on her feet and get her life together. But i just feel that it wasn't her real voice singing that song, like they had fixed it a lot. Just my opinion.
You betcha -- a whole lot of stuff can be done with sythesizers , dubbing , etc., etc. It could have been her with a lot of "overdubbing" . I am "iffy" about the song .
Blabber i love your enthusiasm! although i have to say i wasn't a fan of hate new song. it sounds like a deleted track from the last cd (which i did like) but it was really repetitive and catchy in a bad way.

I am very excited for the VMA's on Sunday. Although she has had some weird erratic behaviors as of late, I still think she's beautiful and one heckuva entertainer.
I won't be watching on Sunday because I'm too nervous for her. That poor girl really needs to get her life back together. If getting her career back on track is what it takes, then great!
I always really enjoyed watching her performances, but clearly if this is a disaster, then we can expect more troubling behavior on her part.

I hope she crashes and burns ...I'm so sick of her antics and she should really be more concerned about being a good mom right now. And truly, her new song isn't very good at all -it's too repeative and uses too many sythesizers.

Girly girl, I'm with u. Brittney has some serious problems. Yes, her children should come 1st, but she[so called] livin' her life Now when she should've lived it before she married Kevin F. up perv. I'm not a Brittney fan but I do hate to see these young singers,actors destroy their lives at such a young age. Yeah, I'd be right in there [age group] with George Clooney !
Brit is a great performer I wish her the best of luck and I can't wait to watch it tonight. She is going to blow us all away. And to all you Brit haters--maybe you shouldn't be so hard on the girl she's had a rough couple of years. I for one am very proud of her it takes alot of guts to get up infront of millions of people and perform when you have no idea if she is going to be boo'ed or not. i heard the premiere of the song. I must admit that I really thought it was trash the first time I heard it, but then when I started hearing it again and again, it kinda grew on me. I still think she shouldn't have turned down justin timberlake, though.
just saw the performance.... NOT! I am huge brit fan and this was dissssappoining. No singing, off balance, little movement. She just seemed unprepared. Clearly she was "thicker" than years past, but as a mother of 2 myself-give her props for the figure she DOES have, but she just did not bring her "A" game. THat may have just been the last we will see of her. It is sad to see that light go out.
