Heidi Klum Fell For Seal's Package
The supermodel and her hubby, crooner Seal, sat down with Oprah (the interview airs today) and spilled some dirty ditties about how they fell in love.
Heidi first saw her man after a sweat session -- while he was wearing bicycle shorts. "I met him in a hotel lobby in New York City and he came in just from the gym and I was sitting there and I was, like, wow," she tells Oprah. "And I pretty much saw everything," says Klum. "The whole package."
Well, well. But, in all fairness, I'm pretty sure Seal had seen most of Heidi's goodies at that point, considering she's constantly on billboards, television and catalogs in skimpy thong underwear.
Even though the physical attraction is what initially brought them together, the pair admit they have to work hard to keep their marriage healthy."The most common hiccup," Seal said, is when the first child comes along. "And it turns into all about the kids, which is understandable because they're miraculous. But then you've got to put each other first. You know, she will always be number one for me."
"Is it true?" Oprah asked Heidi.
"I have the most romantic husband," she answered. "I do."

I'm not overly religious but I have cared for, as a nurse for 29 years, all sorts of people from major background differences to color differences. There are no difference, we are all human beings deserving respect and sharing with each other what we can. My parents are from different races, different cultures and different religions and they have been together for over 35 years. (White and Middle Eastern). All three of my aunts married someone of their own kind and all three have gotten divorced! I say if you can get along and your personalites coincide than go for it! I wouldn't exactly recommend it just because I think it can be more difficult to have the same ideas. Like raising/rearing children. I still think it will be a long time before everyone is accepting of mixed couples.

Interesting how people get heated against those that dislike interratial relationships, accusing them of being ignorant, when they are just as ignorant if not more.
First of all, race differences do exist and are very real. And melatonin (how dark skin is) is not even the deciding factor. Originally, race was distinguish through bone structure, mainly cranial differences. Today, we use DNA testing to precisely determine race.
Now, specifically to blacks, what I find sexually appalling about them is not their dark skin, but their ape-like features, and also that nasty hair...really grosses me out. Now, that's my sexual bias, I do not judge people based on their race but their character.
Finally, little a secret I've discover through anecdotal experience and might alarm some of you: A lot of men will not date women that sleep with blacks.

This is funny because the same bias that Mr. Right feels towards someone of the "black" race as he states are some of the bias other people have (sexually speaking) when it comes to some white people (that is if I wanted to generalize).
I personally prefer to date in my race when given a choice, but do not cut out the idea to date someone else if they appealed to me, no one has though.
Any man who does not date a woman because she "went to the other side" as Mr. Right Guy would call it, is screaming insecurity and will spend a great deal of time getting involved just to break up.
As time changes people are exploring more and more the options of interracial dating (my personal preference is not to do this, but this is me). I want someone who I can identify with on all levels and instill this same thing in our future children. Identifying is not limited to color, it is an understanding and acceptance of all differences. Having a basis of understanding to work from and building a solid foundation.

If someone appealed to me outside my race and we were able to build a rapport, I would not snub my nose at the gift of love.
People are so focused on rescuing the black man, when they dont need it. He chose his fate and we as black women need to chose ours. There are many black men that appreciate a strong woman (forgive my bias when I say I have not seen a stronger woman than a black woman mixed or otherwise). We (meaning males and females) have a lot to fix internal and should start there rather than someone else (i.e. rescuing black men).
I know men of all races are appreciating strength and character more than easy access as we progress.
So be strong, be a woman and save yourself, and leave the men to do the same. Be open, loving, understanding human beings and all will work out. Learn about different cultures and expand your horizons and this world (and blog)will be a much happier place.
Too much time has passed to have setbacks like these come about in our day and age.
