Orlando Bloom in Car Accident
Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom was involved in a car crash Friday morning, while on his way home from a night out with some friends.
According to People mag, Orlando swerved to avoid another vehicle and hit two parked cars. "Bloom believed he was being followed by the paparazzi," an LAPD officer on the seen said. "He believed the car that cut him off was driven by a photographer."
Orlando was not found to have any signs of intoxication and no sobriety tests were even issued in the investigation.Though Orlando managed to get out without any wounds, the two other passengers in the car sustained minor injuries -- one fractured her neck, the other was cut by her seatbelt.
"[He] is grateful that no one was seriously injured ... He spent last night at the hospital to be with his childhood friend who sustained a minor neck injury. He is thankful that emergency services arrived so quickly and that the ER staff at Cedars Sinai took such good care of his friend," the actor's rep said in a statement on Friday.

Once again, the paparazzi are causing an accident. I'm thankful he is okay because my bff would be all butthurt if something happened to "her man."
I'm glad he's fine as I would be devastated if anything had happened to him.

i'm glad orlando's okay. it would be so unfortunate if something happened. if he got like scarred for life on his face, then i would never watch pirates of the caribbean ever again! actually i would because johnny depp is still there, but if johnny depp got scarred for life also, i would so be out to get the cause of the problem. my best friend would back me up big time. shes already out to get the photographer who did this to bloom. anyways... kudos to orlando!
I'm so glad that Orlando is ok and hope his friends are already feeling better! It would have been a real shame if something awful happened again because of those pesky paparazzis!
hi everyone! iam glad that orlando is ok but they really got to stop saying it was a hit and run that is such bull he was trying to get away from the pop and he was going to call someone . god it is like one little thing a actor does and the woreld thinks he is a bad man or somthing . do you think you would hang around there with all the noise and pop trying to get info about what had happened or would you go some where quite to call for help! now that i am done thanks for reading
Hit and run is governed by California Vehicle Code Section 20002, which mandates that the driver immediately stop their vehicle at the nearest safe location, locate the owner of the damaged property, or leave the information in a conspicuous place and inform the local law enforcement agency of the incident.
Since I was not there I do not know if Orlando followed that procedure. If he did, then the media is liable for defamation of character in claiming it was a hit and run and portraying Orlando as a "bad guy."
I'm just glad that he is okay. One of my favorite actors! Hope his friend recovers quickly as well.
it would not have been unfortunate if something HAD happened to him. u people!! the guy hasn't made one movie that showcases any real talent. you know why? because he doesn't have any! there are a lot more sexier brits out there with nice shaggy hair who have far more talent than orlando---puh-lease. he needs to just go away and you ladies need to just...stop.
SO I guess being a MALE celebrity means not having to take the standard sobriety tests that anyone else (Lindsay, Paris et. al.) have to take, and thus avoid the public humiliation. Not that I'm a fan of the druken party girl crew in any way, I just think it's another example of how sexisim runs rampant in our culture. Must be nice to be a dude.

I love this guy too. But everytime something happens to celebrities, there is always an excuse- if not from the actors and actresses themselves, then from the police who are thrilled to be in their presence. I wonder if I can use just one of their excuses if I have an accident...I sure have a lot of choices.
Sure is strange late at nite on a friday and he gets no drug or booze test la cops on the take no question.
