Jessica Alba Possibly Heading to Broadway
Jessica Alba has never done anything to me personally, but I just don't get all the hype that surrounds her. Yes, she's a pretty girl, but pretty girls are a dime a dozen these days. Yet, people just swoon over her. My friend Craig actually just named his new HD television "Jessica" -- because he loves it almost as much as he loves the real thing.
Anyway, Jessica told Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa that there is a possibility that she will be taking her, somewhat questionable, talents to The Great White Way. "Well, there's a rumor. Yeah, I've been asked to do it," she says, of a role in Speed the Plow. Jess has been tapped to play the role of Karen, which was originated by Madonna in 1988.
"But this is just talk. It's not really happening yet. I'm freaked out!" Jess said of the possibility. "I would be honored to do it," she added, "I don't know if audiences would even want to see me on Broadway."
At least she's not delusional. Would you want to see Jess on Broadway?

I cannot stand this girl. All her "hotness" that she talked about and then she says "don't call me latina" but was on the cover of a spanish magazine. It's all about her beliefs I bet, until they wave that check in her face.
I think that the remarkable thing about her is that you don't see her in jail and rehab and all of that. Yeah, Hollywood has pretty girls, but they all seem like train wrecks.

YESS we all kno shes pretty BUT she cannot ACT! Not even a little bit, i loved her n Sin City & the movie with Paul Walker BUT thats besides the point, she cant act! LOL

Tracy, I'm with you. She is very pretty, but I've yet to see a movie with her in it that was any good. Her acting is ok, but nothing spectacular. And the movies that she has been in are not so great. Oh wait, I did like Sin City. I'll pass on seeing her on Broadway.
Jennifer Garner on the other hand. She's a talent I'd pay to see!

on a side note, Hillary Swank is pretty good and I really enjoy her movies - very intense woman.

Film and stage can be completely different...I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe her acting 'talent' would be better suited for the stage. She's pretty, but I agree she's nothing special. Does her character have to sing, though?
I agree with Jason and the article. There are tons of pretty women out there. Show people you're talented and then you're something more than just pretty. So far Alba hasn't done anything ground breaking as far as performances go. Until then I wouldn't be too interested in seeing her on Broadway.
