Julia Roberts Snaps on Paps

Julia Roberts must have been talking to good pal George Clooney about confronting the over-aggressive paparazzi, because the pretty woman took a page from George's book and made a photographer pull over -- so she could yell at him!

Love it!

TMZ.com has the video of Julia honking her horn like a maniac, then getting out, walking up to the driver's side window of the paparazzo's car and demanding he quit it. Julia, who had her two-year-old twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, in the car with her, told the cameraman, "Listen, you can turn your video camera off. You're at a school where children go. Turn it off."

The best part of the video is how nervous the guy is. As he's pulling over, and Julia is storming the car, you can here him fretting and breathing nervously. He obviously knows she's one tough cookie. I have to say, though, both Julia and George were fairly polite in their demands. No bad words, no threats, just simply telling the paps to stop endangering the people around them. Love 'em.

Don't mess with a mama protecting her babies! Good for Julia.
Those paps are going too far nowadays. There has to be limits.

let the congregation say AMEN heather, the razzi goes too far more often than not.

Love. Her. i agree that the pap goes WAY to far, i think it should be illegal to chase celebs in cars, they shouldn't be able to video tap while on the road, it puts others life's in danger. Go Julia!!!

Good for Julia, bad for paps!! You know you screwed up if you get Julia Roberts riled up. Bet you if more celebs took this type of stance the paps would sit up and take notice.

Maybe they just wanted a night with her. Oh wait she's not a real prostitute like she was in Pretty Woman. My bad.

I love her for that! I still think Britney should take her up on her offer... LOL

Good for her. I recently watched an excellent documentary about the paparazzi it was eye opening. It included unedited video of these guys following around Britney Spears. It was appaling how much they put everyone in danger over a picture. She was getting gas and they swarmed this gas station and almost ran over someone!

Way to go Julia! The kid's school is OFF LIMITS! Movie premiers, award shows, even the shopping malls are fairly open territory,...but let these people take care of their children and pick up a few groceries in PEACE!

Marie said:

Good for her! These people are going to hurt someone just to get a picture. I think that when children are in the car or with the parnets, this should be off limits. If they want to let them take a picture, I think the parnets will tell the paparazzo it is OK.

i'm frankly tired of celebrities thinking they have the right to tell other people what they can and cannot do. granted the paparazzo should use common sense.. but these celebrities sure wantt them around to promote their films and keep them bringing in the millions of dollars they make for a few weeks to a few month's work... so when the stars want the paparazzo, they welcome them, but when they don't want them around, the stars think they can boss around the paparazzo.. it's how the paparazzo make their living, which is NOT millions of dollars for a few weeks to a few months of work.. STARS wake up and treat people right and maybe the paparazzo will be more compliant with when they grab their pictures...

Well done for Julia.

People (even stars) have the right to a private life side, this part is private, it is not a Oscar ceremony, it is just private. They have the right to fight for it.
Way to go, Julia!!

Heres the thing though,
We all love reading our Us Weekly's so we all love those pics.

The more obscure the pic is, the better we like it.
We get bored if we see the same pic in every magazine.

Someone mentioned the celebs sure do love the paps when its beneficial for them to promote their projects.

They have to know that you cant just have them there when you want them and expect them to go away when you dont.

And if the celebs cant stand being in the public eye then they chose the wrong profession.

They should all be arrested if they are on school property.

April and gal, there is a difference in having them around while you shop in a store, or take a walk in the park, and them endangering there kids and other ppls lives. You have to admit that the paps are getting very out of control. Its not like they are just following them in a mall or something. They are risking ppls lives that aren't celebs, driving down the road like loonys. There is a huge difference. and if you think its ok for anyone to act like that, then its very clear you have never had your privacy invaded. Its not a good thing. It can be very scary, especially if your kids are with you. It should not be ok for the paps to go as far as they do.

There is a BIG difference in going to the store or getting some gas - but darn it, can't your kids get to school without someone across the street strolling by trying to take their picture? Thats kind of sick....probably makes the pedophiles really happy

She just mad because this was the same pap who took her and Danny's picture when they parked in a handicap parking space in MALIBU. Star magazine- page 25. Shame on you Julie. What's handicap parking for Julie. Love you anyway just get your shit together love.

I really do think she did the right thing by tewlling them off. It's ok to take photo's of celebrities but not at a school where these celebrity children attend. It really does disturb me when I hear about this. How would they feel if someone did it to their kid?

Butthead said:

Julia's brother freaked me out when he was in that movie where you think he's the killer but its really the dork that picks him up on the side of the road. He was all like, "I need my black tar heroine before you bury me outside your clubhouse, Charlie Brown"...that was cool!

Ok JD, give it a rest. We've all noticed that you have something to say so take it somewhere more important than the ivillage message boards.

D.B. TAKE CARE OF THIS IDIOT J.D. He has nothing to say and should be removed. I think everyone is tired of looking at his garbage. How hard is it to copy the same drivel over and over.

JD you have to much posted above (and all over for that matter) that amounts to virtually NOTHING! We're so sick of your BS blogs all over the net. You're lucky you live where you can express your BS freely, if you spouted off like this in a socialist or communist country you'd be either arrested and sent to the Gulag at best, or put on trial as an enemy of the people and executed at worst.
Thank your lucky stars you live in the great U S of A and quit your constant bitching. Get over yourself.

The papparazzi really sucks. They don't care about people's lives. They'll kill somebody else before their chase is over; and yes, they are partly responsible for the premature death of Princess Diana (God rest her soul). She chose not to sit pretty in the English royal palaces doing absolutely nothing, but to work for her causes in making a difference in underprivileged people's lives.

Julia, I only wish I had balls like you. Maybe you can highlight the issue more and make it a little more safe for children in and around play grounds. That's the real issue here isn't it? To protect the innocient!
