We've learned Beverly Hills physician, Dr. Andre Aboolian, was set to perform a tummy tuck and breast reduction on Ms. West, but told her she needed to get clearance from an internist whom Dr. Aboolian recommended. We're told West never went to that doctor, and subsequently had the procedures performed -- but not by Dr. Aboolian.

What does the cause of death have to do with the fact that she has passed away and her family needs prayers, not a bunch of anonymous people specualting what, when, why and where. God Bless Kanye and his family is this time of sorrow.

Not that Im taking sides but workingirl made me think about this tragedy. Its far more reaching than just this tragic death. It is the undertone horror that is being missed here, the trend to "better" ourselves based upon the status quo of societie's view of beauty. And how unfortunate that in most cases it is woman subjugated to this view. Im sure many of you will counter me saying that anyone can do as they please with their body, and that is undeniably true. But common sense should dictate that surgery was meant to save your life from a grave injury or illness. For all procedures have a possible chance of death. So why risk your life for something as transient as beauty? When life in general is and ought to be beautiful in itself. Our body will always detoriate due to time and environment, but our spirit and soul should be what makes us who we are. Though just writing this I realize that this notion is idealistic and romantic. And unfortunately there will always be people taking that risk to become "better".

My intellect comes to question because I disagree with you? I understant your inherent notion, that once it is our time to die, we will die. Actually we will all die regardless. My only stipulation is if we can avoid things that can be hazardous we "should" do so. I already know that even a person that plays it safe will eventually die. But is there any real reason that we should assist the Grimm Reaper in its job to claim lifes? Yes all surgeries pose a risk, that is true enough. So why risk a surgery that isn't really needed? That was my only concern with this tragic death. And I know that we all risk dying by driving and other mundane activities that we take for granted. But that doesn't mean I'm going to bungee jump over an active volcano because we only "live" once. But again, that's my choice in the end. All I wanted to convey is that its unfair that women are subjugated to such high criteria to be "beautiful", so much so to risk surgeries and extreme diet plans.
