Lindsay Lohan Begins Community Service
Lindsay Lohan has quietly started her community service, as part of her DUI sentence.
LiLo helped out at an American Red Cross blood services facility on Monday, arriving at noon, and staying until 7pm, when she left carrying a book titled BLOOD. This was day one of the 10 days she has to serve, in lieu of two of the four days in jail she was sentenced to. As for the remaining two days, Lindsay's been given credit for one day, thanks to her arrest in July, so the actress only has to serve 24 more hours -- which she has until January to do.
Lindsay definitely got off easy, but she seems to be trying to get her life together, so I'm not going to hate on her. Keep up the good work, Lids, you're on a roll.

Great Depressions are caused by the huge transfer of wealth to a tiny minority at the top of the pyramid, which as Einstein put it, causes 'instability' in the 'utilization of capital' which then results in 'increasingly severe depressions' with the severity of the depression correlated directly with the degree of income inequality that has developed in a society. In other words, greedy millionaires and billionaires are going to cause the worst economic depression of all time. As their paychecks get bigger and bigger, our economy becomes more unstable. I'm not discounting other major factors like subprime and gas prices. But if it weren't for that HUGE transfer of wealth, we would be OK. Bottom line. The middle class will soon live in poverty because of people like Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, and EVERY CELEBRITY. So don't fall for their 'humanitarian' BS. Its nothing but an excuse for their incredible greed. Now, we are headed for the worst economic and cultural crisis of all time.

I hope LiLo has learned something from her past behavior.. She seems like she is taking this recovery process seriously doing what is expected of her and cancelling her pary date in L.Vegas.. the only thin is time, time will tell.
It makes me furious that celebrities get off so easy. Any average person would get a year. How do I know? Because my husband got arrested for driving on a suspended license while he was working down in Florida 3 years ago. He wasn't drunk or on drugs. He was driving to work so he could make money for his family. We needed the money really bad and he didn't have a choice, so he went down there to work after all of the hurricanes tore through. He was there for my entire pregnancy. He left the state to come home to see our daughter be born and help me out, which violated his probation. The only way he can resolve the issue is to go back and spend a year in jail. They won't allow him to pay a fine or work it off with community service.

National Transportation Safety Board recently divulged they had funded a project with the US auto makers for the past five years. The NTSB covertly funded a project whereby the auto makers were installing black boxes in four wheel drive pickup trucks in an effort to determine, in fatal accidents, the circumstances in the last 15 seconds before the crash.
They were surprised to find in 49 of the 50 states the last words of drivers in 61.2% of fatal crashes were, "Oh, Shit!"
Only the state of Texas was different, where 89.3% of the final words were, "Hey Y'all, hold my beer and watch this!"
