Aww I remember being 16 (not pregnant of course) and having the same feeling, wanting to marry the guy of my dreams, of course my mother wasnt lettin it happen and hers shouldnt either. I agree she shouldn't get married yet, i mean having a baby is stressful enough, much less at 16. And getting married takes a lot of work, and is stressful those first couple years. I think if she got married now, it would be to much on her. She needs to adjust to having a baby first, and then if they are still in love and want to get married in few years, then it would be easier to make the marriage work, without having a new born too.

I get the feeling if she does get married, that she will have even more kids. Not saying a big family is a bad thing, but her age is of concern. Luckily her family and she have money, so it isn't anything like the typical teenage pregnancies where they will have to sacrifice almost everything to make it work.

Man, there are so many things wrong with this situation I don't even know where to start but just to say DON'T GET MARRIED!

I had a child at 15 yrs. old and we were pushed into getting married 'for the sake of the child' ... bad move. The physical violence started, drugs, alcohol, etc. (him, not me) Doggone mess, and for these ''kids'' to WANT to play house at such an early age *smh*... don't do it Jamie.

Getting married will fix the problem how? Everyone has there opinion as how or what Jamie-Lynn should do but ultimately its up to her she got herself into this situation and she will have to work her way to fix it. She is going to have a baby so what's the next step. Get herself into parenting classes and open her eyes take a look at the real world. Young girls everyday go through this problem Jamie-Lynn just has money to care for this child but money is not all you need..as we all have learned from big sis!!

I am a 20 years old and a mother of a beautiful little girl! I had her when I was 19 just out of high school! I must say that it was the best thing that ever happened to me! I am still with the father but we are not married! We do not feel rushed into such a big step. Its because we already took a big step having a baby. It all depends on the person and how well they handle stress! If she can take it then let her do what she wants! Other wise just hold off because people change and you might not like who they turn into!

This is gonna be a hard time for her right now. Maybe it would be a good idea for her to wait til after the baby comes, and she gets comfortable being a mom, and her hormones are settled...if they are still doing well, get married, by then she'll be 18, and if they stay out of Hollywood, they could probably make this work. I married at 19, and 15 yrs. later, were still going strong. I don't think many people can make a marriage work in Hollywood, its just too stressful, and crazy! Stay in Louisiana, and raise your baby, and have a normal life, Jamie!!!

Marriage DOES NOT guarantee that the couple will stay together...if one wants to walk out, they will. Marriage is not the same as it was 20 years ago...people would get married at 17 or 18, have kids and stay together til the end but times have changed. Many 16 years old today are not ready to handle the pressures of marriage.

I don't think it's a bad idea, if that's what they want then they should have at it. I mean they are having a child together and that child deserves to have their parents together. However, three years ago when I was 16 I never thought about spending the rest of my life with a certain someone and decided that I wouldn't until I am almost 30, but hell I don't the future. But this isn't about me it's about Jamie Lynn, and if that's what they both want then I support them after all, they seem like they're both very excited and make each other extremely happy, so I say why not. It's good they want to get married and raise their child together, but I don't think getting married at 16 is such a great idea. They should wait to be married to be sure their relationship will survive. If they are truly in love the relationship will last. The father can still be in both their lives and help support and raise his baby. Young marriages usually don't make it, so it would be best for them to wait. Parenting isn't easy and Jamie should really consider letting the baby's daddy help out with all aspects of being a father and see how that goes first.

getting married at 16, whats gonna come out of 4 more kids before she is 20??? I think it would be fine for her to marry if she was 18 but 16 she hasn't even graduated high school!! She should have waited before having sex.

We can all sit around and judge every celebrity on this blog but that will not change WHAT or WHO they do! Of course she should have waited to have sex but it's too late to talk about that now, hopefully for Jamie Lynn and her unborn child's sake she will be mature enough to make the proper choices for herself and her baby.
