Amy Winehouse's Mother's Public Letter to her Girl
If it's disturbing for us to see what a mess Amy Winehouse is, imagine what it must be like for the people who actually know and love her.
Amy's mom, Janis Winehouse, wrote a letter to her troubled daughter, published in News of the World, urging the singer to come home, where she could get help.
"This letter is my way of making sure that you know that all you have to do is come to us, Amy, and we'll do everything in our power to get you well again," the distraught mom wrote. "After all, you are still my baby and you always will be. We want to help you, but we know that unless you want to be helped – unless you come to us – anything we tried would be in vain."
Amy, who was just nominated for six Grammys, was seen last week wandering the streets of London, at five in the morning, wearing just a bra and jeans.
"Wherever you are, whatever you need," her mom continued in the heartbreaking letter, "we're here for you day and night. I hope you know that."
Let's hope Amy reads the paper and goes home for the holidays.

Will she read the letter or even hear about it? Mama ditch the letter, i suggest you go yank her off her butt, give her a good spanking, sit her down and make her listen and after that take her to a rehab center. Wish all the best (although with a name like winehouse :) ain't holding out much hope) for your daughter.
A letter to her daughter about getting help. How nice, except for the fact that she took an ad out in the paper. I guess hitting print and mailing it to her would've been too hard.
Maybe she put it in the paper because she knows her daughter is a druggie and probably hasn't read her mail since she has been high all this time.

Isn't there some law in place where if a person is not fit to look after themselves, another person can then be nominated and they will decide what is best for that persom.
Well if i was her mother, i wouldn't print anything. I'd get my lawyer to organise this and throw her in rehab and leave her there for a while.
She'd hate me i know, but i'd know that getting her off the drugs would be best for her.

I love Amy's music, but she has "bigger fish to fry" right now. I don't think her mom should've put the letter in a paper, but if this is how she can get her to read it, then so be it. I'm a mother and you do what you have to do to get the job done.
she must go home period not only for the holidays,she must know that family is the most important thing more than her fame,grammy nominations or whatever the people who love you will be there all the time they will never judge you like press.
i don't think she is poor. days ago i signed in sugurmommymeet.com and i know it is pathetic. but i don't understand why she do not do something to make her well.
