No. I'm not in the top percentile of the WORLD'S Richest. Not even close. Racism? Glad you brought it up. It started with slavery. Blacks were bought BY THE RICH and made to work FOR THE RICH. When slavery was abolished, blacks were deliberately steered into slums. This was orchestrated by the rich. Yes. Ordinary people were led around like puppies but it was orchestrated from the top down. By the early 80s, progress was made. But whites still had an advantage over blacks. Then came Reaganomics. WRITTEN BY AND FOR THE 1% CLUB. As more wealth accumulated at the top, the black communities got poorer. Like I said, money does not grow on trees. When you raise one end of the scale, you lower the other. Developers invest primarily in white or mixed communities. So as more people who can afford it move into the newly developed communities, the black communities got blacker and poorer. Then you have the entertainment industry. Gangster rap marketed to poor minorities. BAD IDEA.

CNT you are a racist. As a black american, not all of us are sitting around with our hands out looking for help. Our children are becoming doctors, lawyers, scientist you name it they are achieving it. Do you know why? Because they are tired of judgemental uninformed people like you sterotyping their future. Thanks to parents like me they know they can go out and get the same if not better education than their white counterparts. Its called GREED. It may be a natural tendency but its also VERY relative. and people excuse it because of ignorance. I excused it for a long time as well. Not anymore. If it weren't for the greed of the rich, then our major cities would not be falling apart. Developers continue to invest in areas that DON'T NEED IT and neglect areas that do. Jobs are lost in one area and created in another. So cities like Youngstown, Detroit, and Cleveland fall apart while other areas are developed. THIS WREAKS HAVOK ON OUR SOCIETY. Like I've said many times, if our society would have been developed with less greed and more TRUE good will, then some degree of world prosperity could have been achieved by now. In order to solve these problems, many things would have to fall into place. But in order to make any real progress, THERE MUST BE A REASONABLE DISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH.

Ellen, I did notice. But you have to admit it gets tiresome when someone or anyone keeps on playing the same tune, and no matter how delicately you try to approach them, it is to no avail. And sometimes there are days when I wish the blog was just about what it was meant to be for. I am not saying that racism shouldn't be addressed. It should. It must. Racism is a delicate issue. You simply can not address it in ANY public forum without ruffling some serious feathers. Still, it must be addresses. If we ignore it, some things may improve but the underlying cause (economic divide) will remain until we do something about it. So regardless of the backlash, I will address it again and again. Economic divide is by far, the greatest factor. It divides not only the races but also by moral character. Or it labels it. Either way, I am convinced that extreme wealth or extreme poverty will both wreak havok on society. The only way to achieve any degree of world prosperity, peace, civility, or anything even close is with reasonable distribution of wealth. Poor communities will ALWAYS produce more violent criminals and rich communities will ALWAYS produce more white collar criminals. Unfortunately, one race has been on the short end of the stick for decades. and with the current state of our economy, they will be for years to come. In fact, its getting worse. A LOT WORSE.
