I was thinking the same thing about JD and the entertainment "forum". I am thinking that if you wish to be heard, then anywhere people talk to people without fear of retribution is a good place for people to talk and vent about issues on our minds and in our hearts.

Re this topic btwn you and JD I have followed it today, and you both gave more than an inch, and showed respect while doing so.

Some of us listening learned something today, even if this takes some reflecting.

People have always had a need to understand and be understood.

Bringing down others does not fix the wealth distribution problem. if you want equal distribution of wealth why don't you move to a communist country, where it's all mapped out for you. I have read many of these post and I agree with some of the words you are saying JD but you have to remember the public are the consumers. We pay the celebrities and top earners salaries so why hate on the celebrities? Also, I live in a predominately black neighborhood and we are all successful. We own our homes and take care of them. We may not have much but we have a united community with monthly meetings and active participants.
I attended a lecture about how to make changes in our communities and sitting on the computer providing rants was not one of the suggestions but to each their own. A class I took in College, stated stop complaining and go out and do something about it. That is what made Dr. King who he was and Dorothy Day. We are all contributors no matter what your status. Our society is built by everyone. If you don't like the top earners, that's fine but sitting back complaining isn't going to get you anywhere either. Better yet, start your own company and show us how its suppose to be done.

J.D. IS LIKE MY BROTHER I USED TO LOVE. Twenty years ago my brother used to be fun, I loved to fence with him, exchange ideas, banter, compete, have a wonderful time with him. Then he started reading every thing he could think of, he became a know it all radical on any subject you would like to discuss. He had all the answers on everything and lost his human emotions. If I said it was a beautiful day he would disect it and explain to me why I thought it was a good day and why it really was only my misconception of it being a good day. After a while I started checking caller I.d. and when he called I would only answer IF I KNEW I COULD LIMIT THE TIME OF THE CONVERSATION. Like j.d. it wasn't about whether it was right or wrong only whether he could win the conversation. Like J.D. he could explain all of his reasons but couldn't find it in himself to look at another point of view. That would make him out to be the paranoid ass hole he had become. He lost all his friends,and all of his loving relationships he had.

Ran out of space. J.D. is one of those people that wait for you to respond, than the games begin. J.D. is not important to the people who know him, so he goes on a blog and tries to baffle everyone with his paranoid bull shit. Calling out...your comment sounded very genuine. I read the story about your brother some time ago. I understand totally what you mean. I too had a best friend in my teens and young adult years with this sort of communication obsession. She was RIGHT, we had to all AGREE with her cause of the month. Later on she was diagnosed scizophrenic, put on meds, failed to comply, had amazing dillusions of grandeur (sp)and finally paralyzing paranoia. I stay in touch with her sister who is now a lawyer with a mission to find and help Erica. Well she found her, living in a hovel hearing voices in the inner city. She was hospitalized, helped to heal physically, then disappeared once again.
My heart breaks for a beautiful intelligent soul that I loved. However she is so determined to refuse help and runs off to live on her own where she can not be found for years at a time.
At least her sister got a good education during her quest to help.
Her motive was love and compassion for something or someone outside of herself.

So I guess my point is if there is any good to come of this kind of thing, let's not beat ourselves up for having failed to help, but focus on the philosophy of Erica's little sister.

Take the best and leave the rest. Simple but oh so true. Little sister took the best and used it to bring about positive change, for her ill sister, and now for all the people she helps on a daily basis.
She works for legal aid, so money is not her motive. ( In case some people frown on lawyers )

I am a nurse, and so I can't help trying to walk a mile in someone else's shoes. I hope J.D. takes this turn of the tide in a mature way, and uses it to open his mind and heart.

topic: Now that I have to sit and think about this, Megan's only real mainstream role is Transformers?
