White symbolizes purity? Heh, this color typing has always interested me. For example lets take black and white. White most of the time (depending on your religion I suppose) means life, salvation, and or purity. Yet black somehow signifies the contrary of that. But is it? And to whom? Most western funerals people wear black to "mourn", yet in the eastern side there are those that wear "white" to rejoice. Lets take a simpler look. Age. Most people would consider those of white hair to be older and thus closer to death, yet those of black hair to be younger and still have the promise of life. Dont think so? Look at all the hair products to hide the white and graying hair. Oh another thing, most people who experience "near" death experiences claim to see a white light, not a blackened state like most claim death to be. Superstion point of view, a black cat, at times seen as a bad omen, yet in Egypt it is a sign of good luck. I guess in short colors only have meaning when "we" give it meaning.
