It's a sad day in the entertainment industry. I thought about Heath all evening and pondered...who will be next? Taking pills, prescription or non, in excess, is like playing russian roulette. Who will play the next game? Who will lose? I pray that Heath made it to the other side quickly and I pray for little Matilda who probably won't remember him. RIP Heath.

Heath Ledger was like one of the family. I have seen all of his movies. He will be terribly missed. Through all of the sickness i've been through, when he smiled it was contagious and made me smile too. I woder how this affected Julia Stiles? Bless you Mr. Ledger.

What a loss! As a nurse, I know this may have been an accident. Over the counter medications are sooooooo fooling. It is possible for a person to take too many sleeping pills by accident.

He appeared to be a beautiful person. Money and fame do not block the fact that "life happens". Depression can strike the richest and most famous.

I hope his family will remember the beautiful person we all saw on the "big" screen and idolized. Not the fact he may have taken his own life, accident or not.

This is indeed a sad day in the world of entertainment! I am sure that everyone is reeling from this news so close to another actor's death just days ago. Heath was a beautiful person both in side and out! While he has gone onto a better place it is his loved ones that are left here to ask the questions of why and what happened? I pray that his little girl Matilda will know that her Daddy was a beautiful person and will get to know him through his family and the good things that her Mother can share with her.

What a shock it was to hear of his passing yesterday, and it just doesn't seem right. Even though his family won't check this blog, my condolences to them, and especially to his daughter.

I saw that he started taking sleeping pills a few months ago when he was doing his role as the "Joker" because he was struggling with the character not having "any redeeming qualities" and it was keeping it up at night, he said in an interview. He was taking Ambien then. I look forward to seeing his performance. I am sure it will be great.

I think it is time to update your info. Heath was not found surrounded by pills. He did have prescription sleeping pills that were found in their bottles. I believe in the bathroom. He had them prescribed for him while he was filming his role as the Joker on the upcoming Batman movie. He also had a recent bout of pneumonia. I think it is insane how the media is so quick to turn this into a drug related death. Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. As far as the autopsy report, inconclusive. They need more time to determine what killed him. As far as that ass hat on Hollywood Showdown emphasizing the fact that the masseuse was male is just wrong. Are you trying to make people think that his real life character resembled his Brokeback Mountain character?

I loved Heath! He was a great lost for every movie or theater lover. I still can’t believe he’s dead. If he would have went to an Oxycontin Detox before all this happened, things would be very different now. Oxycontin, as far as I heard was one of his medications and he should have realized he became addict to it – and when you become addicted to your prescribed medication, there’s no time for waiting. You have to get in a rehab.
