Mary-Kate Olsen's Connection to Heath Ledger's Death

When news of Heath Ledger's death first hit the media, there were certain reports erroneously stating that Heath was found in an apartment owned by Mary-Kate Olsen. Now, new details have been revealed explaining why that assumption was made.

Apparently when Heath's massage therapist found him unconscious, she picked up the actor's phone and called Mary-Kate on speed dial, knowing the two were friends. MK told the masseuse that she would call private security people she knew in New York for help. When Heath still couldn't be woken up, the massage therapist called 911 on her own, and both the paramedics and Mary-Kate's people arrived at almost the same time.

The EMTs found the actor in cardiac arrest and tried to revive him, to no avail.

E! is reporting that Heath's housekeeper was in the apartment at around 1pm and heard the actor snoring. It is being speculated that he died somewhere between 1pm and 2:45pm, when the masseuse found him.

I know "what ifs" don't matter now, but if only someone had woken him earlier...

Why would you wake someone who had sleeping problems if they were snoring, how could you have known he was going to die. NO WAY!

I really wish they had called 911 right away. Look at how much valuable time was wasted.

The butler did it, in the bedroom, with the rope. Case solved!

To bad the masseuse hadn't been scheduled just a few hours earlier :-( I just kept hoping Heath would just pop up and be like this is all just a made up story gone to far. Its just so sad.

It truly is very tragic. I thought Heath was soft spoken, considerate, articulate and a real gentleman in interviews he had given. I saw a commentary on CNN last night where a reporter asked Jack Nicholson what he thought about Heath's death. His reply was 'I warned him.' The reporter didn't know if Nicholson meant he warned him about taking sleeping pills or warned him about being Joker in the Batman Movie. Nicholson played the Joker in a previous Batman movie and had many unexplained negative things happen to him during filming.

I thought his Ledgers career was going somewhere big and fast. I had a lot of respect for him and feel very badly that a man should die at such a young age. All I can say is I hope the angels in heaven and God will bless him and welcome into their His Kingdom.

you are being ridiculous!!! why would they have woken him up if they presumed he was just sleeping. and knowing he has difficulty sleeping. get a grip. it was unavoidable, even if he was woken up he still would have died from the drug overdose. he would have just died from a waking state as opposed to in his sleep.

Mixing antianxiety pills with vacation drugs in any mannor would certainly do this, I think that's what Jack was referring to. I feel for Heath, because if he did have any problems, (mental issues--heck even stage fright)it is a hard demon to struggle with. Carly Simon talked about it for years, and James Taylor. People shrugged their shoulders when Phoenix died, but he had demons so deep no one could see.
Heath, with as many hearts as you have touched, I know you are in a better place, please don't worry about the baby she'll be fine. Rest now.

Why is it when a tragic thing like this happends, the only words people can pull out of their mouths are immature and hurtful?I truely hope that someday when your life is done, those arent the only things people will say about you!I feel aweful for his family, and friends, he was a great actor and he will be missed.

It's too bad that when some people, I'm not refering to every celeberty, first become famous, they feel they have to depend on drugs to either fit into a certain group of people in Hollywood, or to handle fame, or other personal issues.

Any new actor/actress should realize the price of fame is not an easy one. I'm sure it's hard enough trying to get that "big break," let alone the stress of dealing with the media, and the paparazzi on a day to day basis when you do finally become famous. Too bad Heath Ledger had to fall into the ranks of Anna Nicole Smith, River Phoenix, Janis Joplin, Rick James, Kurt Cobain, and any other famous person who died of a drug over dose at such a young age.

No, no one would want to wake up someone with sleeping problems while he was snoring. But when he was later found unconscious, they should've called 911 IMMEDIATELY,not Mary Kate, not some private security firm , no other number should've been called before 911 !! Those wasted minutes could have made all the difference.

What a waste of talent! 911 should have been the first call made but it may not have made a difference, so no sense in placing blame or guilt on anyone else. I am sure everyone is hurting enough already

I wished Heath would have lived. They should have called 911 sooner. That dumd ass masseuse. You don't call his friend you either get help right away or you perform CPR everyone from high school should have learned that by now.

I truly hope that you rest in peace, Heath. You were such a talented and handsome gentleman, with so much to give and so much to look forward to in life. I'm very sorry that you will never get the chance to see your daughter grow up. Even though you were taken away from us so tragically and at such a young age, I know that you are in a much better place. May God Bless you and keep you in the loving arms of the angels in heaven. You have truly earned your wings!

Love,
Mary :)

The comments here are opinions, based on some facts (and fiction) which are based on what actually happened to our Heath. You all are not family or close friends, so any hurtful comments are irrelevant and unimportant. The fact is, he's gone now, and just as we do when we lose a parent, friend or similar loved one, we mourn and remember all the wonderful things they brought to our lives. To the fans, he brought his incredible talents as an actor, and nothing more. Please don't pretend to know him, or understand him or his personal life. Just enjoy the art that he created. That's what he would have wanted.

why call someone else instead of 911 first ??????

In reality I think it will come out he was in totally arrest and nothing would have brought him back. If they had of it would probably have resulted in brain damage. condolences to the family.

In such an abnormal world you can only pretend to exsist perfectly. We can say that if Famous individuals could leave a normal life then maybe they wouldn't feel soo alone, soo depressed, soo repressed, and so distant. If they did we would never have anything to fill our void now would we? I vote we stop buying these rediculous magazines and protest this uncontrolled voyeurism that leads to tragedies such as this. You can start today.

What a waste of such a promising young life,
It will touch many people far & wide,
Hopefully Britney will see this as her wakeup call before she too joins the ranks of the very unneccasary young dead!

A baby will never really know her dad, except through peoples opinions & the movies & personal memorability that he left behind,

Britney wake up & smell the roses ,,you are alive & well & have a great opportunity to be a parent to your children,

Think about what Heaths little girl will miss out on in her life.

Heaths chance is now over,,but yours can be just beginning
I wish you the best,

My condolances to Heaths family,
He was a great man & may he rest in peace
RIP
