Michelle Williams & Matilda Arrive in NYC
A devastated Michelle Williams made a very sad and hard trip back to New York City last night, as she and daughter Matilda returned to the Brooklyn home they once shared with Heath Ledger. Michelle was working on a movie in Sweden when she got the shocking news of Heath's death.
Upon her return home, Usmagazine.com reports that Michelle had support from Dawson's Creek costar Busy Phillips, who is Matilda's godmother, and Michelle's mom, who were both seen at the apartment earlier in the day.
It must be so hard to be back in their home now, but, at the very least, Michelle has a good support system to lean on.

Very sad. My sincere condolences to Michelle and their little girl.
I just want to cry for her, i don't even want to think what she is going through. I know it happens everyday, but she has to have her sorrow splashed around the whole world, and it would be impossible to get over it, because every time she turns around his pic is on every magazine and on every TV channel. So sad.
I also can't imagine what she is going through. Just dealing with how and what to tell Matilda must be very hard. I hope that photogs are giving her a break, but I have my doubts that they are.
My condolences to Michelle and Matilda and to the rest of the Ledger family. This is a tragedy that Matlilda will never really remember her father except through film and pictures. My heart goes out to her.

I really wish there was something I could do for Michelle. I can't imagine what is going through her head, I just wish I could reach out and give her a hug...her poor little girl and Michelle has to be the one to explain everything to her. So sad...I want to cry for her, although I'm sure she is doing that enough for many...I give her all the support and I hope she is able to grieve appropriately, without the stupid tabloids exploiting the situation for their own good.. Rest in Peace Heath.
I can't quite believe it myself and I have no affiliation with him whatsoever, it's hard to even begin to imagine what the mother of his child, someone who was once very close to him is going through and of course how little Matilda will have to cope without her dad in her life - the thought of what Michelle must say to her child when she is old enough to ask what happened to her daddy :( So, so sad.
