I can't say I'm not disappointed that Angelina wasn't nominated.

Of course "Angelina" wasn't nominated...She is as "Done" as "Done" gets...

Johnny Depp will "Sweep" them all...

Johnny Depp wasn't in the kind of role that wins. It'll be Daniel Day-Lewis.

I wish I'd seen more of the movies on here. Well, aside from No Country for Old Men. That was a disappointing way to spend my time. It was way too focused on what turned out to be a sub-plot.

I agree With you BlogBrat, I think Johnny Depp will win. At least I hope he does. I think Atonement will get best picture. It was a great movie.

I think James McAvoy is one of the most talented up and coming actors in the business. Would love to have seen him clinch the Golden Globe for best actor in Atonement but that didn't happen and of course, he wasn't nominated for best actor for the upcoming Oscars. However, I did see the movie Eastern Promises and must admit that Viggo Mortesen gave a superb performance that is Oscar winning worthy. Of course, Johnny Depp is always heads above most all the male actors and was amazing as Sweeny Todd, the movie itself was a bit macabre for my liking. There are so many talented actors but I was disappointed that Marisa Gay Harden was overlooked for her fabulous performance in the movie The Mist. I was also disappointed that the movie Gone Baby,Gone was snubbed as far as a Golden Globe nomination as well as no Oscar nomination. The movie was really good and in my opinion it was much better than American Gangster. Can you tell that I love movies? I am amazed at the brilliant minds that make up all facets of producing movies from the script writers, to the actors and directors and composers. What a fascinating array of artists is required to make a movie - especially a good one.
