Britney Spears Released From Hospital
Britney Spears was back on the streets Wednesday, after being released from UCLA Medical Center's psych ward. The singer, who was initially committed and kept on 72-hour involuntary hold, quietly left the hospital, but was soon chased by hoards of paparazzi and news helicopters. It was complete madness.
Britney was supposed to spend another 14 days in the facility, but left after only four, having been in for a total of seven days. Why, you ask? Apparently a court representative felt that there was "no just cause" to keep Britney in against her will, even though doctors advised that the singer stay.
So where was Britney's first freedom visit? The Beverly Hills Hotel, of course, where she met reunited with paparazzi boyfriend Adnan Ghalib and reportedly met with her business manager. Then she was off (with Adnan by her side) to meet with her new lawyer, Adam Streisand.
According to X17online.com, Britney and Adnan then went to a restaurant and finally back to her house, where her parents where waiting for her. That probably wasn't the happiest of scenes, huh?
No word on if Britney will continue getting medical attention on an outpatient basis, but, man, I hope so. She was so close!

You people need to leave this child along before the paparrazzi kills her. They are going to drive her MAD. Give her some peace so that she can collect herself and figure out how she is going to continue on with her life. The paparrazzi is VERY DANGEROUS and the money that they are making off of this child is terrible. I will continue to pray for her and some rules need to set for all those hungry paparazzi. I am so over Britney...obviously does not want help and will continue to be the train wreck that she is. Don't blame the paparazzi for her problems....celebrities shouldn't complain when they are in their face....they know this is how those people are and that is what comes with fame. I'm not saying it is right for them to stalk her but it comes with being a star. As far as I am concerned it is her choice to deny the help so whatever happens to her..so be it. She knows she needs help but is just being stupid!! She should never be able to be alone with her kids again. If she wants to live her life like this then fine but don't subject her kids to it.

They won't just keep her hospitalized against HER will unless the panel board at the psychiatric hospital deems her a threat to herself or someone else. She can be released on her own accord with a medication plan. Her parents cannot keep her in the hosptial.

Celebrities give mental illness a bad name. I have manic-depression aka bipolar and while things did get a little crazy for a while there, I got help, which is more than I can say for celebrities and then when they get caught doing something stupid they just blame the mental disorder which is not always the case and then the world goes on fearing mental illness and with misconceived notions of it. With help you can live a creative, productive and successful life. I'm proof.
