Dannielynn Birkhead Undergoes Eye Surgery
Larry Birkhead tells Entertainment Tonight that his daughter with the late Anna Nicole Smith has undergone eye surgery.
The 17-month-old little girl suffers from strabismus, which is the turning in of one of her eyes, and though common in about 5 percent of children, it cannot be outgrown.
"Dannielynn is home from surgery and resting comfortably," her pops reported. "My thanks go out to Dr. Arthur Rosenbaum and the Jules Stein Eye Institute staff for taking great care of Dannielynn."
Get well soon, Dannielynn!

larry and sweetangel dannielynn God bless you always
I'm glad Larry kept the cameras out of the operating room. Hopefully, this is the start of a new pattern for him.
Larry seems to be a loving father, will pray for DANNIELYN'S RECOVERY, BEAUTIFUL CHILD. Hate it when I forget caps.
I have always had "special" place in my heart (yes, I have one..lol:) for this "little girl"...I hope she is fine and can see "20/20" after this surgery..."Larry" is doing a "wonderful job" raising this child on his own...She always seems so happy..."Kudo's" Larry...
I am glad that Dannielynn had her disorder treated. I bet Larry is happy too because now he doesn't have to worry about all of the flashbulbs damaging his daughter's eyes. He probably sent out a "good to go" email to all of the celeb mags as well as ET and Access Hollywood.
so glad to hear dannielynn came thru the surgery ok!! our grandaughter is to have the same surgery for the same condition this coming tues. she is 3 yrs old. the best of luck to you both larry!!!
I am very glad Larry saw fit to get this beautiful child's eye corrected now. I am 70 years old. BUT I had to have back when I was 14 years old. I never knew another child who had the problem, for many years. It was not that common. I always wished mine could have been done sooner, because it can cause a lot of emotional hangups and pain. My grandson inherited it, but I had him in my care at the time, and his was done at 4 years old. I had worn glasses until my eye was corrected and so did he. BUT when children get into higher school grades, kids can be quite cruel. Name calling can be likely when other kids find out, and they usually do. The operation is no big deal, and I think it is great she has had it now. I hope she does beautifully. She really is a little doll. I wish her and her Dad, and Howard all the best.
