Kirstie Alley Loses Jenny Craig -- Gets Her Own Diet
Though weight-loss program Jenny Craig put actress Kirstie Alley back in the spotlight for a little while (remember her big bikini dance on Oprah?), Kirstie is hanging up on Jenny and launching her own diet program.
In a statement released to People, the actress revealed her plans to unveil her personally developed weight-loss program in 2009. "I want to create something new that will help millions of people end the seemingly never ending fatty-roller coaster ride," the former JC spokeswoman said. Kirstie did give props to Jenny, saying that her time with them was "extraordinary," but she is ready to hand over the reigns to the new faces of the brand, Valerie Bertinelli and Queen Latifah.
So, what will Kirstie's new program offer the world? "I'm confident that I can create something exciting and innovative," she said. "Something that if all goes well, will help change a fat America back into a fit America and will offer this country the healthiest, yummiest, easiest and most effective weight-loss program on the market."
Healthy, yummy, easy and effective? I'll call Kirstie right now.

I just can't believe that Kristie is 57. She does not look like most 57 year olds I've known.
Kristie is a beautiful woman. I agree she doesn't look her 57 years. Most women I know around that age are overweight and looking older than their years.

Grossly overweight? Hardly, withgoddess. She's not the tiniest thing by any means but she isn't completely out of control obese. Especially considering she's 57. Some of you people need to get a grip on what an average person looks like and should look like. Maybe we've all been watching these young hollywood starlets that look like walking skeletons a little too much...
Good for her. It is said Jessica Simpson is on divorce now. Her personals ad was found on millionaire&celeb dating site "W ealthyR omance.com" last week. Her blog on that site has been viewed for thousnads of times!
I agree with Hooves. She is by no means obese (not anymore). Yes she needs to probably shed a few pounds to get into a healthier weight range, but even taking that into account she is still one hell of a gorgeous woman. I'd love to have her beautiful looks, at any age. She is stunning!! I hope she continues to win with her weight struggle.
