A $1,500 Weekly Allowance for Britney Spears
Britney Spears can now buy that lip gloss she's always wanted.
A judge ruled yesterday that Brit will be allowed a $1,500 weekly allowance, to use on a debit card for anything her little heart desires. The pop star is said to be worth an estimated $100 million, so $1,500 may seem like couch change, but at least Britney is being given some responsibility. It's a good sign.
In addition to the allowance, Brit was given the go-ahead to hire two specialist attorneys -- to help get her life in order while she is still being overseen by her dad. One lawyer is to be a consultant on all details the conservatorship, while the other will act as the pop star's an entertainment lawyer, helping out on entertainment deals and contracts -- like the one she just got to appear on How I Met Your Mother.
I know I sound like my parents, but remember when our weekly allowance was only $5 a week?

At least it's her own money. Most women get that allowance from their hubby or daddy. I am so not jealous of her. Not at all. LOL. I am so glad she is getting better.
Gotta agree with Scarlett..... at least it is her money. $1,500 doesn't sound like much for her, but at least she's doing it on her own and not relying on anyone else.

Sometimes we just need someone to 'manage' us. Yes, she was way out of hand for a while there, but I think everyone can dig deep down and remember a time when they could have used some help. Someone to say, "hey, this is what you need to do right now." Those who do have someone stepping in are blessed.
I make almost that much "every" week by "working"...It doesn't go as far as you "think"...
i dont even see her as a person any more she is sooo wacked out and such an embarassment.KFED got the better half of money he got alot out of her and the kids now she is sick and needs to be put back into the mental ward.sicko
She is now facing reality & sees the kind of crazy life she was leading with Sam & her paparazzi stalkers & how it caused her to lose her kids & lots of money. As time goes by she will become stronger & be able to make better decisions with her life than in the past. BTW, some of her news, pictures and more can be seen everywhere. Even on ~~~casualloving.com~~~, maybe u know that is a casual encounters club, many fashionable, funning things there...
I like that she's being given the responsibility of living on a budget. Considering that's almost certainly after-tax money of which she doesn't need to save a penny for retirement, her kids, alimony, staff salaries, or house or car payments, it's a lot of fun money, though not nearly as much as she's used to. I hope she does well with this test.
Wow! They are really trying to bring Britney back to some sense of normalcy. That is a paltry amount compared to her documented $750,000 monthly income. However, that is just money for "stuff" as her normal bills are being paid separately.
