Does Heath Ledger Have Another Child?
Matilda Ledger may have a sibling somewhere in the world.
According to Heath Ledger's estranged uncle, Haydn Ledger, the actor may have fathered a child when he was just 17. Well, thats what he's telling the Australian media, anyway.
Haydn says that Heath had a relationship with a 25-year-old woman, when the deceased actor was a teen, and the woman learned she was pregnant after they had broken up. As the story goes, the unnamed girl was living with another man at the time of the affair, but Heath's uncle says, "there is a very real possibility that Heath was the father."
Why does this matter now?
It's all about the Benjamins. If Heath did father this child, I'm sure someone is going to come looking for money. Though Heath's will was created before he and Michelle Williams had Matilda, his family has assured the world that Matilda will be taken care of -- which means, if he did have another child, she would entitled to some cash, too.
It's a sad world.

I am still sooooo "sad" about "Heath"...This picture in particular gets to me everytime...I "miss" him...:(
I wasn't aware of the fact FAGGOTS can give birth?
Get a life gerard V.
What a low life to drag out Heath's dirty laundry after his death. I can't believe anyone is even running a story based on an estranged uncle's assumptions. People like this make me sick. That goes for you too gerard.
I miss him too, BlogBrat.
Gerard-- I'm not going to sink to your level by using profanity and cheap insults. Don't trample on the name of the dead. How would you feel if you lost a loved one and the next day people were mocking their death?
Be a human. Have some respect.
I hope he has another child... a boy.. who looks just like him.. :)
gerard, in 1994 I lost my oldest daughter at 17. A few years later when her younger brother was in Jr High someone made a remark about her, he decked the guy. Maybe someone should do the same to you.
To start with, gerard Vandenberg, your comments would be better left to yourself.Nobody wants to hear comments like that just because you are jealous of the "Man" that Heath Ledger was. Now, there is nothing at all wrong with the possibility that there may be another child on this earth that has a soul that is part of Heath Ledger.I cried when I read about it.I wish that Heath had known this for sure.I don't believe he would have ever turned away from a child that was his.If it is true, I am sorry that this child didn't get to grow up so far with Heath as his/her Daddy.I'm not saying that the man that has raised him/her isn't a good man, I'm just saying that Heath would've been as good of a Daddy to this child as he was to Matilda. He just would've been a lot younger & gone about it in a different way.He would've still been learning things in this world too.So what if Matilda isn't his only child & heir, she has a brother or a sister. If the estate is goes to both of them the way it should, there will be enough for 2 children. There are still his royalties from his last few movies,(I'm Not Here, The Dark Knight & Dr. Parnassis' Imaginarium), that his estate will get.I think verification on this child should be found ASAP, so things can be done correctly before the estate is divided up in all different directions.Just think, if this child does exist, the talent he/she posesses, just as Matilda does, I'm sure. Also, if there is another child of Heath's around, Heath's parents & family should be able to get to know the child, as well as love & cherish that child as they do Matilda. They would have someone else that is part of Heath.I think they need to find out for sure.It would help them in their healing process. God Bless You, Heath Ledger. 'Til We Meet in Heaven...
I agree Reed. Why bring it up now? That was around 10 YEARS ago and nobody came fowrward. Who knows what the cirumstances surrouding this situation were. Maybe they had an affair and she didn't want to tell her man that she was with Heath. Who knows, and who cares. This really does sound like someone trying to cash in on his monies. Now that he's dead they come out and start talking? Please, this slander and rumor crap always happens and it will happen for years after they die. It seems like all of a sudden people want some sort of "I knew him so well" status(Mary-Kate) after they're gone...Puuulease!
poioioioioi
How very sad that people are calling him names now that he can't defend himself. I always thought that the men who call gay men "fa**ots" are really gay themselves and are just programmed to hate, even somebody who resembles themselves. His sexuality is/was irrelevant, he was a great man altogether. I hope he's watching over Matilda.
Why are so many people so sure that this secret love child is entitled to inheritance?
It appears that her mother never sought to continue the relationship, to publicize it, or in any way to benefit from it. The child is still a minor, so the mother calls the shots, I would think.
It appears that this additional truth (if it is not just innuendo) is due to one of the uncles who undoubtedly (from what I have read) regarded themselves as something of elder brothers to their nephew. I happen to come from a family structured exactly like that. Something Celtic perhaps. They allow themselves the right to comment on the actions of the actual parents of the children, often because they were midway in age between said parents and nieces or nephews. It's inclusive, but intrusive. These uncles are grand-uncles to Matilda, and perhaps to the "love child."
Now it appears they want to lasso in another lass, and claim her too, as a Ledger. But perhaps there is a bit of joy in making their elder brother, Kim, erstwhile executor of their own father's will, and waster thereof, rather uncomfortable. I would think that the public is only being treated to the tip of the iceberg of this rollicking family.
It won't bring Heath back, but it is undoubtedly a strange part of the grieving process, wanting to bring life out of death, to multiply Heath if possible.
I hope it does not end tragically for anyone else.
I don't think it's actually about money at core. I think it is about kinship and proclamation of such. I even think it is about love.
Now, as to the inheritance aspects -- once upon a time illegitimate children did not inherit, and were horribly termed the children of no one (in English law). This was to close the estate finally so that no more claimants could be brought in at a later date. This is how closed adoptions got going - to "protect" said child from both the "taint" of illegitimacy and to make sure the "lawful" heirs did not have to share and share alike. So the fly in the ointment here is -- okay two girls so far - how many more? Will the estate money be tied up till it is gone (see Bleak House, Dickens)?
What to do? Let the mothers decide, in timely fashion, then "tick tock the game is locked, and nobody else can play".... Unless of course some tearful child shows up knocking at the gate and begs admission. But money-wise, he or she is out of luck. Love-wise -- there's always a chance.

Well guys, apparently this rumor has been widespread around Perth for many years and I believe it is true. There is another rumor in Australia that Heath also fathered a son AFTER Matilda and his dad paid the woman off in order not to tarnish his image because he was still with Michelle. True or false, who knows. Possibly.
