John Mayer to Ex: "I Don't Want You In My Life!"
John Mayer is an odd bird. The singer, who has dated Jessica Simpson, Cameron Diaz and, most recently, Friday Night Lights's Minka Kelly, says on his website that he has written some new lyrics to a song, in the form of a letter to an ex-lover. He does warn readers not to "read too far into this on a personal level. (There are no hidden messages)... I just thought it sums up how crazy love can be."
Here it is:
Dear Ex Lover,
Perhaps you didn't understand the last time I told you to stop contacting me, so I'll do my best to spell it out for you. I do not wish to have you in my life anymore. I don't know how much more clear I can be about it. It would serve you best to move on with your life and find someone who can put up with you, because I'm done trying.
I hope this is enough closure for you.
Goodbye.P.S. If you need me, you know how to find me.
It's funny, because it is so true. But it does make me wonder if he was inspired by one of his exes. My guess would be Minka, considering John dropped her like a bad habit right before New Years, but maybe this is something somebody said to him?
Anyway, I'll try not to read too much into it, like he advised, but John has a way of always piquing my interest and wondering what's going on in that cute head of his.

i use to like john mayer, but lately he is so full of himself I can't stand the site of him. Cockiness is such a turn-off and his head is growing daily and his looks have diminished because of the ego maniac he is. yuck!!
Even with his ego, I love John. He is really funny and always tricks the paps. I think he's a bit fickle though and has probably tossed some good ones back into the sea.
That's hilarious! I said the same thing to my ex! hell I even said that to our mutual group of friends. I had to give them up. pesky custody rights. i even said the part about how if they needed me that i wouldn't change my number so they could always reach me. Thank God they never have, but it sure is the same! HA!

if he didn't want fans to "read too far into this on a personal level" then he shouldn't have posted it up. it'd be better to tell/ give the note personally instead of publizing it.

John is a great singer. His songs rock the world. He has a charming voice. It is said he is turning to online dating scene after a break-up with his ex. I saw his profile on millionaire&celeb dating site "WealthyRomance.com" last week.
He is a cuttie, he is my favorite. I love him. I saw him on millionaire&celeb dating site "SeekingRich.com"
last week. I am wondering what kind of relationship he is looking for on that site.
So many of you are not real JM fans, as you don't seem to know him at all. He loves his job, he loves to make music, and he hates so much of the attention he gets. He tries to make light of it and make fun with the paparazzi because they make him uncomfortable. He's not full of himself - anyone who's read a lot of the interviews he's done, and saw his "Fun, Fearless Male" award speech from Cosmo would realize this guy is not an egomaniac at ALL. He's trying to get by with the fame thing without letting it ruin who he is and sees himself being. Plus, someone said, "if he didn't want us to read into it, he shouldn't have posted it," or something like that. Huh? Don't read into it means DON'T READ INTO IT. He is a writer, he is full of ideas, and what he wrote is NOT A LETTER TO AN ACTUAL EX, it is perfectly crafted example of how STUPID we can all be when we are/were in love with someone and it didn't end well. If people aren't interested in him, why do they comment on his every move????
I think it is about Jess. "somebody who can put up with you" sums up her high maintenance attitude. :)

How beautiful is he? The fans pay for his music, not his soul...and hopefully he keeps those lines clear as he grows...if I were 20 years younger, I would have a major crush on this kid.
