His hair has always bothered me too. Wonder why?

JD: I also took psychology, sociology and economics in college. We're not all idiots and most of us know what you say is true... but sometimes people ("pigs" as you say) do things without an ulterior motive. Just because these people are in the 1% club doesn't mean they're aware of the ripple effect. Ignorance is bliss to most of them... which makes their good intentions pure. I agree most of them do things just for PR though. Anyway, I do agree with most of what you say but I come to this site to numb my mind a bit and I get tired of reading the same statistics on the 1% club everyday. I read the REAL news when I want to be reminded about all of the world's problems.

J.D. What do you do for mankind other than whine about the 1%. I'd worry more about the illuminotie, than the 1%. You know, the 7 or 8 families that control everything in the world, gas,banking,stock markets,commoditis,oil, everything you do right down to the toilet paper you use. The 1% is just these peoples puppets. You never hear about the people above the 1% or about their families, children, nor what any of them are up to. Why is that J.D. if your so intelligent explain it.

I love BRANGELINA and other well meaning CELEBS and if that makes me “celeb friendly” and a 1% wannabe, I would proudly bear that title rather live a hate filled life like you do. J. D. some well meaning bloggers have suggested that you get laid but I doubt any action would ever occur because I can just picture you explaining the macro-economics of sex to your partner and more than turning her off. The tonic for you is THERAPY and DO it FAST. I also suspect you are the worst blogger with multiple identity going ‘cos I have noticed after your rants, nameless bloggers like “well said J.D. and J. D. rocks” come up to express their support for you. Call me names but asking you to go to hell is just apt.

I'd just like to say that I don't have the time or energy to read all the ranting, but personally being a family member who is currently loosing a child to cancer, I think it is wonderful for anyone regaurdless of thier income level to do something to try to make a difference in the lives of those of us who are trying to understand the unimagineable.

Amanda: I understand your pain and my thoughts and prayers go out to your child and family. People that haven't been through cancer don't realize how overwhelming it can be and how beneficial a facility like this can be for families. It doesn't matter what Patrick's motives were as long as it helps others.

JD: I do admire your determination and I'm glad we can disagree on a subject without attacking each other. My problem though is that you judge everyone as a group and not on an individual basis... sort of like racism (not that you are one). Some of the problem is the 1%, but a lot of the problem is the people who sit around collecting money from the government because they don't want to get off of their lazy bums. Throwing more money at them won't change their give-me-everything-for-nothing mentality. People have to take care of themselves and stop depending on others to swoop in and save them all the time. I'm strictly talking about Americans though, not people that are oppressed in third-world countries.

JD all I'm saying is if you weren't so raging with hate and jealousy you most likely wouldn't care enough to hog the blog with the same redundant post that shows up every single day. And by the way, have you ever even been to Maine? Maine is one of the poorest states in this country(not too many 1-percenters up here!) and for this state to get something like this is pretty big. Oh, and have you ever watched someone you love die of cancer, or watch someone else you love become devastated in the process? The fact that the money for this came from a rich celebrity doesn't matter. Or maybe they should have had a bake sale.

This JD dude is sure an a***hole. Bet he's never had a loved one suffer from cancer or other life threatning illness. There are celebs out there who do nothing with their money but use it to look good, bash them and i won't complain not people who actually care to make a difference. I think its a good cause. Patrick Dempsy is from Lewiston Maine I think he just wants to give back to his community. If he was looking for attention then he would open a cancer ward in hollywood or marthas vinyard. Instead he is doing it in one of the poorest cities in Maine.

I appreciate him not forgetting his roots.

I am a profesional actress, so I know what it is like to be in the spotlot. HE IS NOT A HORRIBLE GUY! For your information he is actually quite nice and is very sweet and up for helping others. If you are struggling money-wise, here is an idea, FIND SOMETHING YOUR GOOD AT, AND TAKE A JOB! Good grief, you are a JERK! KP you said Maine is one of the poorest states in this country. It may be poor but it doesn't mean everyone is poor. Mostly only the north is poor. Down in Southern maine there are multi-millionares. everyone thinks maine is such a boring poor state, but if you actually come to southern maine it is totally different.
