Priscilla Presley's Dangerous Plastic Surgery
Getting plastic surgery is like a game of Russian Roulette in my eyes. You're messing with your face or your body, and if it gets screwed up, it's out there for all the world to see. And that's the chance you take even with a reputable doctor -- now imagine a bogus doc gets his hands on you.
Dancing With the Stars' contestant Priscilla Presley's is admitting the she had some work done by a not-so-great doc, Dr. Daniel Serrano.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Elvis' ex said: "Priscilla Presley was one of many documented victims of Dr. Serrano. An investigation which uncovered his misconduct ultimately lead to his imprisonment. Ms. Presley dealt with this matter years ago and everything is well."
This guy was later sent to jail for injecting patients with unsafe forms of silicone.
Yikes. I'm all for growing old gracefully. If we all do it together it will be an even plane. Who's on board?

I am 49 my sis is 51. She uses botox and restalin and has encouraged me to try. No way. I have no problem telling my true age. I am usually told I look like I am in my mid 30's. Stay out of the sun. Use a good sunscreen and take care of yourself. Eat healthy and stay active.
I am a 45 year old homosexual man. I mention that I am gay because it will become readily apparent that being a mature single gay man is like a grandmother living in Neverland. The gay culture is a youth culture. I have been able to keep looking young by working out and eating well... every now and then I will have a glycolic peel to remove a couple of outer dermis layers and look refreshed. But I have decided to have fractal laser resurfacing on my face. I have remnant scars of acne that are becoming troublesome as I age, so by having this resurfacing procedure, I will be able to minimize the scars and rejuvenate the skin, making me look younger. It's still not invasive plastic surgery in the sense that no one is cutting me up, but it is a laser procedure at 900 bucks a pop (and the good doctor tells me I need five of these). OK, fine, whatever. I don't mind the expense, and I do need the results. I have lived with what would appear to me a grotesque mask of acne scarring for way too many years, now seems the time to do it. I see what a vibrant and wonderful woman Priscilla Presley is, her moves on Dancing with the Stars are awesome and she is very regal. It is a shame that she didn't execute more judgement on her choice of surgeon.

I've never understood why anyone needs to look 20 years younger. Its what on the inside that makes a person beautiful not a skin peel or face lift. You would wonder why someone worth a couple of hundred million wouldn't be happy with their life. She isn't doing it to make more money. Vanity, maybe.
I agree dr, too many people focused on the outside. I'm beautiful on the inside and so so on the out, but that's okay...I have a good life.
I like your attitude Scarlett, and when a person is beautiful on the inside, the outside will inevitably show it.
A So so appearance lights up and shines when the beauty comes from inside.
She is nice looking, but has the typical cosmetic surgery cookie cutter look.
I wish she could smile. Her face is frozen, stiff.
Awww you made my day Ellen! : ) No matter what she's done, she looks great for her age. She was always a pretty lady.
The whole idea of bad plastic surgery reminds me of an episode of Nip/Tuck, where Joan Rivers guest starred. She had apparently wanted to have her face reverted to its original state, so her grandson would recognize her as grandma (but when showed what it would look like.. which was sort of like a monkey's behind with lips.. backed out of having it done).
I'm a fan of growing old gracefully. No one can ever seem to pinpoint my age (which is 31 ... I get anything from 24 to 40, depending on the day I've had!).
I'm enjoying being an age enigma.
It's such a shame. Priscilla was so beautiful.....
It's such a shame. Priscilla was so beautiful.....
Ohhhhh..so that's who got a hold of Michael Jackson. I bet if there really were vampires, celebrities like her would be praying to get bit.
I'm 51 and proud of it. I have earned every little crease and laugh line on my face.....and they're staying there. Why would I want to look 30? I'm NOT 30, I'm 51...
This doesn't mean I'm aging gracefully....I bitch about it a lot, but at 51 I figure I'm entitled to bitch about whatever I feel like bitching about!!! :)
Who was it said?:"Who wants to be the best looking corpse in the cemetery?" Why continue the plastic surgery into the 60 plus years? As for actors. Become character actors and you can continue forever.. Must everyone look like Nancy Reagan?
Good deal, Kelly. And just bc you have a few lines doesn't mean your not beautiful or sexy! I know alot of men who would pick you any day over Priscilla.
Unfortunately, she looks very unrealistic now. I'm surprised she would even expose herself to the bright lights of DWTS!! With all her money, why on earth would she not get the top-notch guy in Beverly Hills to do her work? It's a shame she didn't leave her beautiful face alone! It's a lesson to all of us that we should just leave things alone and not strive to achieve everlasting youth, I guess.
I USED TO BELIEVE IN PLASTIC SURGERY..USED TOO IS THE KEY WORD HERE. I AM 64, I HAVE LUNG CANCER, I AM RECOVERING FROM A RECENT BROKEN HIP, AND HAVE LOST THE SIGHT IN MY RIGHT EYE
FROM A DISEASE CALLED VITRITIS..ALL DUE TO CHEMO?? NO ONE KNOWS..DO I CARE NOW IF I LOOK 64, HELL NO I ONLY WANT TO WAKE UP FEELING BETTER (THEREFORE LOOKING BETTER)WALKING WITHOUT PAIN, AND SEEING...WE ALL NEED TO DEVELOP OUR SOCIAL SKILLS AND NOT DWELL SO MUCH ON WHAT YOU ACTUALLY SEE AND WHAT THAT PERSON IS REALLY ALL ABOUT. WE ARE FAR TOO LOOK
CONSCIOUS AND LOOSE SIGHT OF THE REAL PERSON.
IF I HAD A CHOICE FOR FREE PLASTIC WORK OR MY HEALTH
MY VOTE WOULD BE FOR HEALTH.
Terri you are so right. Good luck to you. But you almost have to go through some of the battles you have won and are still fighting in order to understand. Priscilla is still beautiful in her own way and it is sad but she keeps going and that is the key..
She use to be a "beautiful" woman...Now she looks like all the other "cat-woman freaks" that have f#%ked up their faces...
She is still very pretty, but she looks funny with those big lips now. Her lips were pretty the way they were. Like Cher with those big lips now. She also looked better before. If they would only keep what the good Lord gave them., unless, of course if a person has a real problem, like a big big nose or no lips or something radical, then I can see fixing it.
I feel plastic surgery is a personal thing, if someone feels better to have it then so be it. But mostly, they go too far and then look like, as you say the "Cat Women" or the Joker.
I am over 50 and had botox a few years ago, and it wore off in no time., it was a waste of money.
But, to each his own I say, and good luck!! Make sure you pick the doctor with the right credentials.
She really doesn't look much different from when she was younger. Check out old photos. She really was perfect looking and I don't think she looks "cookie cutter".
I agree that if we all allowed ourselves to age it would be fine for everyone...but that is not going to happen. Those of us who age naturally will look old...and no one is going to care that we wished to be "ourselves"...
She is still beautiful. Where do these people get off critisizing others? Cripes! Get a life and take a look in your own mirror.
When I first saw Priscilla Presley on DWTS, I was absolutely stunned by her looks. She cannot even smile, her lips are grotesque and she looks nothing like her former self, which is a real pity as she was always a beautiful woman.
Why don't these women at least leave their "lips" alone? As we age, our lips become thinner and smaller but with the right "makeup tricks" they can be enhanced.
Do they have any idea of how awful they look with those huge, unnatural lips?
Poor Priscilla and the others!
People please, you are just jealous of the fact that you don't look as good as her. Beauty comes from within?! HA! The only people that say that are people that are ugly. Too be beautiful on the outside is hard work, dedication, and will power not to binge on every fat infested food item out there, or to take care of themselves instead of sitting on their buts in front of the tv. I work out everyday, i eat right, and i'm beautiful on the outside. Everyone has good and bad qualities on the inside that show through, so therefore everyone is beautiful on the inside, but not everyone is beautiful on the outside because only a select few can have the discpline to do so instead of judging others because they can't be like them because their lazy! Go work out you fat f***s. Get a life and be happy that some people can be beautiful 100%!
I TOO HAD CHEMO,DUE TO BREAST CANCER, WHAT IS VIRTIS? CAUSE EVER SINCE THE CHEMO,i"ve been havind eye issues!
I think she is an absolutely beautiful woman and I can see what Elvis saw in her. She exudes an aura of confidence and strength, her spirit is vibrant.
However, everytime I look at her face, it is so apparent that something is not natural about her beauty. It lacks the expression of beauty that's harvested through life's experiences and wisdom. I'm all for trying to look younger, but not by taking a knife to Mother Nature.
In trying to cosmetically correct what she may have seen as a flaw in her looks, she actually just erased natural beauty. By doing this she created the flaw herself.
She is an amazing dancer though, and no one is judging her decisions, here!
Priscilla should have left well enough alone. Even though she has got to be in her 60's, why would she take the risks she did. She can't even smile because her face has been frozen in time. I don't think looking young is worth the risks involved.
I am turning 50 this year and had my eyes done by a wonderful doctor. I get so many compliments that I look like I am in my early to mid-30's and I really like how I look. I think plastic surgery in connection with a healthy diet, good exercise program and a healthy attitude about aging and you are the complete package no matter what your age. It is sad that society wants the young look. Aging can be very beautiful and sexy!
Appreciate what God gave you. He knew what he was doing. Leave nature alone... God doesn't make mistakes.
Wow - judge not lest ye be judged...she is still a very beautiful woman, regardless of the size of her lips...to "Bombshell Beauty": - you sound like a narcissistic ass and need to find "spell check" on your computer and soon! These are all personal choices, regardless of the "why" involved - it is a personal decision. i know a perfectly beautiful woman with a 'killer body' who had breast implants and ended up with silicone poisoning and had the implants removed...she is beautiful inside and out, but, because of her 'career' choice, felt she needed the implants to further enhance her obvious physical beauty and now she is left to suffer the rest of her (hopefully, long) life. There is a story in the local papers here (FL) of a young girl, senior in high school, accepted to multiple colleges this coming fall - who died of a rare (genetic) allergic reaction to the anesthesia, while undergoing breast reconstruction, to 'repair a birth defect of assymetrical breasts'. She was absolutely beautiful on the outside, and, according to her many friends and school employees, was equally if not more beautiful on the inside.
Here you have two completely different reasons for plastic surgery, each one as important to the patient as the other - and who are any of us to judge who does what, or why? Just learn from their lessons...be a friend to a friend who believes they are in need of cosmetic surgery...don't be so harsh on those whose shoes you have not walked in!
I'm all for beauty of many different kinds. Not all outer beauty is of the plastic variety----I know many people who are transformed by the glowing smile that they have.
I work on that part of beauty as well as on the outside. I'm happily married & don't need to try to attract anyone, but I am a happier person if I look good.
I use Restylane in the creases under my undereye circles (eliminates them, actually), on the creases running from my nostrils to my mouth, & on the creases that are starting to form from my mouth down to my chin. It isn't free, but it's worth it to me. I'm almost 49 & have been mistaken for my 25 yr old son's girlfriend. I also looked great at my recent 30 yr. high school reunion.
There are other people like me, who feel better about themselves with a little help externally. That happiness makes it easier to have the inner glow as well.
Don't judge others----you don't know all of the roads that they've been down. Do what works for you. Live & let live.
Okay. Like just about anything else, this all boils down to a personal decision. But, as with anything else, if it's not necessary or life-saving or improving upon poor health, then it's not necessary in my eyes.
I agree that Bombshell Beauty is certainly on an ego trip. I do not have a 'killer body', but I take care of myself. I only occasionally snack away on the really bad stuff (hey, gotta treat yourself now and then!). I drive my b/f nuts with some of the stuff I eat and drink (he calls 'em nasty!). I take care of my mental and emotional health, which in turn takes care of some of my physical health. I make sure to make time for me so I don't overstress. As with many women, though, I do feel I have a couple of troublesome spots.
Does that mean I'm a lazy fat @$$ like Bombshell said? No. I have a 12 year old, and many people look at me and don't believe I'm old enough to have a kid that age. I have blondish hair past my shoulders and blue eyes. I've been hit on quite a lot, or I'll even notice stares and glances (and I'll be 100% certain that I don't have something in my teeth or a hole in my pants!). I use simple body scrubs, shower gels, lotions, and a hydroxy peel face mask (simple, inexpensive, non-name-brand for all of the above listed items). I've been told on many occasions that I'm beautiful. And I seldom wear make up.
I'm also one of those people (apparently the ugly ones according to her) that believes beauty comes from within. There are people now, and have been in the past, that I'm sure we could all agree on as being extremely questionable as to any beauty within them.
If anyone has ever watched a disabled child play, ever seen the light in the eyes of someone who isn't society-ideal beautiful, or ever watched a struggling mom's dreams come true... then you are the ones who have seen true beauty. Mushy, 'make love not war' era thoughts - I'm sure there are people out there who would say that is exactly how I think.
I don't care.
Watching someone do what they love, seeing the happiness in their eyes and watching them take that happiness and turn it into a glowing light for others. How much more must we worry about beauty when all we do is gripe about the ugly? Does no one think about Kanye's mom? Plastic surgery is dangerous with the wrong 'doctor'.
If we could, for just a while, think about something besides our own looks... something besides how we measure up in society... we would see real beauty.
We're too busy chasing the goose to witness the elegance of the gander.
I am a 47 year old heterosexual man. The reason for disclosing this will become evident when you read the rest of this post. Priscilla is famous only for marrying the worlds first rock star. It's a shame Priscilla didn't think about her options and get the "silly string" breast implants. She would've been (as Don Trump puts it) HUGE! She wouldn't even fit thru doorways!
Now that's the way to get into the public eye, Priscilla! Forget about your (ahem) talent for dancing!! The King didn't marry ya for your ability to shake it on the dance floor!!
Thank you, thank you very much!
Personally, I jsut think she needs to get her cheek implants shaved. Her cheeks are way too big for her face. Other than that she looks great!
I have very strong beliefs with surgery.
I had my face smashed onto road/in car accident when aged 18.I was a passenger.
well,years later-and a number of operations/
I would desperately LOVE to have surgeon to perform miracles.
Over the years with different surgeries needed one surgeon did a terrible operation---and it has been hell in attempts to look natural normal. My face structure has been damaged and at present/I am seeking out to atttempt facial symmetry.
My jaw bones are very unbalanced(crooked)/nose damaged and twisted and I have been thru hell in attempt to get facial symmetry. With one doc making disastrous surgery(he does not practise any more after my incident/and damage to some other people).
BUT to find Doctors highly skilled in difficult repair/
intricate facial issues -is very rare---I AM LOOKING---and between operations with various different appearances I have had it has been sad/interesting--whatever--at the different treatment I have experienced. My face has felt like a mask.I have hated what i had to present to the world.Absolute
I wish beauty did come from the inside but it's not true. Physical beauty is a huge advantage in life. There are some kind, wonderful people who were born with deformities or suffered injuries in accidents and fires and they are shunned and ignored by people.
A nasty person who is beautiful will get constant positive attention from people and be regarded as smarter and having a better personality than an ugly person. Beautiful people are hired over better qualified people, make more money, have more lovers and spouses, and have great self esteem from being told all their lives how beautiful they are.
Read "The Power of Beauty" and weep. This is why people undergo cosmetic procedures.
Jill,
Make sure you only go to a plastic surgeon who is certified by the Board of Plastic Surgery (not cosmetic or aesthetic surgery). You need a reconstructive surgeon and a good way to find a good one is to ask your other docs or nurses or do research on the internet.
For all those who were offended by my post, read Suzy's and they you will see that its better to be beautiful! And if your not, get over it or try harder. Don't bitch about what you don't have the effort to do! And as for plastic surgery, go for it, if you are to lazy to do it the right way, then by all means go for plastic surgery...when you are beautiful on the outside life because beautiful and you will get everything you want! Hell i have love, sex, money, a great career, house, cars, and name brand stuff and i've worked hard for some of it, others have been handed to me because when you're hot, people want to treat you like a princess when you're not, you are a secret date that they take out to a quiet place trying to say its romantic but really they are embarassed of you, but figure you will do for the night! HA!
If U use your ability to love instead of your brains everybody is beautiful!! Fake doesn't last, follow your heart not someone else's shallow opinion!!
For all u so called bombshells I think it's evident that life is all about material things for you. At the end of the day it's how u feel about yourself that really matters. Material things don't always passify the truth for everyone. So for each his own. And most importantly Let's just try see beyond the surface for a change and remember that everyone is made different and that's what really makes us unique in our own way and that is a beautiful thing. For example my mom passed away last year at the age of 80 and she was sick for many years before suffering from all kinds of tumors and cancers and she passed away young and despite all her ailments she always managed to maintain her youth spiritually.
Hey, it's a talent that most of us cannot seem to follow. God bless us all!!:)
in answer to LUCY...i am very glad you had no visual problems secondary to the chemo and wish you and all of us good luck.
this is really not the place to discuss this..if you want
to contact me re this, please respond. ttambe@cfl.rr.com
thanks and God Bless.
I agree with Cinderleezeriz 100%.Appreciate what God gave you.God doesn't make mistakes.
I'm NOT a PETA nut {gag} but most people have no idea that before BOTOX can be used on the public, every single batch has to be tested on animals to see of the batch is right as to its strength... meaning they die from botulism which is a very painful death.
Putting poison in ones face for vanity to get that plastic faced Hollywood look doesn't sound like my idea of fun.
Bombsell Beauty - You may be beautiful on the outside (according to who??) But to be beautiful on the inside is far more important than outer beauty. Oh yes you may get the sex etc etc but do you get real love?? Love from someone who wants to spend all their time with you because they enjoy your beautiful inner being? OR be with you because it makes them look good. I'm not OK looking (although my partner thinks I'm gorgeous) but I can guarantee that I have a lot more friends and admirers due to my inner self than my outer looks. I too have the house, A1 car, sex, great paying job etc etc, but I've gotten that, through being me. Is has nothing to do with my looks. Life is what you make of it (attractive or not) That inner beauty/strength can get you everywhere, if you just believe. Outer beauty can only get you so far.
Suzy - As for beautiful people getting constant attention, it's not necessarily always going to be positive attention. I personally would prefer to be part of the group than be the focal point of the group. As it isn't always going to be good attention. Also I would rather have one lover/spouse than many. Does that bring the beautiful person guaranteed happiness? I think not. More likely to bring STD's.
I love Pricilla, may she be able to undo this grave situation... What about the doctors, on 90210--that Dr Rey is fantastic, and Dr. Diamond, too...and all the others...I myself had a tummmy-tuck and a chin-lift, from a fantastic Montreal Doctor named Dr. Gaston Schwarz!!! who is american-trained...He and his lovely wife (who is a nurse),Maddy took excellent care of me..... Thru the media,
( radio-CJAD ) in Montreal, I learned of him...made an appt.
6 months later, talked to him and was very IMPRESSED.... I
HAVE NO REGRETS....HE MADE ME BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE YOU,
Pricilla, and don't get daunted....their are some excellent ones, out there still....Alex.xxoo
Brunettebombshell, Didn't you say you had no friends on another post? Like Venting past post. ivillage? No wonder! POTTY MOUTH!
Outer Beauty only shines and glows when lit from within.
Otherwise the shell is not so pretty when it is shallow/hollow.
Every buy a beautiful pair of shoes, only to find they were very uncomfortable to actually wear?
Was hurting. I like your perspective...and agree.
In honesty the most beautiful people in my life have the most beautiful flaws, it is what makes them them and me love them more for it.
Her face itself is actually really beautiful and so is her hair. And look at that picture above and think that is a 62 year old! But seeing her on dancing with the stars, it is creepy to have this frozen mask like face on a human body. So sad, b/c I think she's stuck like that-silicone isn't reabsorbed and causes muscle paralysis I believe. But she does look like a very attractive 30 something in that pic. Imagine what we will all look like at 60!
Priscilla Presley was on a flight of mine.. and i saw her up close in 2007. she looked fine to me.. better than most 62 year olds!! hey.. she's got the money.. let her do what she likes! I didn't think blotched .. at all! by the way.. she is a VERY nice, friendly person! she is beautiful inside and out!
my only quarm.. isn't she a scientologist? and Elvis was a CHristian.. I have several of his gospel cd's hum???
just wondering...
Whatever corrective surgery Priscilla Presley has been having done is working. The first night of Dancing with the Stars, in closeup she looked horrendous. Nothing at all like the beautiful woman she was. Look at a picture of her taken 15 years or 20 years ago and you will see what I mean. But the last couple of weeks her mouth has straightened out and her eyes are not all puffy...she looks much, much better. I hope she has learned her lesson and leaves well enough alone from now on. Priscilla should just take a look at that woman who wanted to look like a cat...she is absolutely hideous and that alone should cure Priscilla away from surgery if her recently distorted face did not. At any rate, Priscilla is once more beautiful, if not naturally so like she used to be, her features are proportionate again and not twisted like they were.
Is her face gonna be stuck frozen forever? That is really sad. I saw her in DWS and thought something was wrong. Her lips and cheeks looked funny and she could not smile at all. I think she would have so much better off leaving her beautiful face alone. Speaking of plastic surgery, has the first lady Laura also undergone the knife? Her face looks as youthful as her daughters and that is really surprising considering her age. She looks very good but how long does something like that last before she goes back in again and possibly end up like Priscilla.
