I LIKE ANGIE, BUT, with the problems that the children in the good old U.S.A. are having why doesn't some of the stars park their ass's here and try to help our own. Foreign exchange students come here for their education but our school systems, not colleges, are turning out students who can't qualify nor do they have the money to go to our colleges. Their too expensive. Now we're cutting money to the educational system because we are trying to rebuild what we have tore up looking for " weapons of mass destuction". We don't have a problem of pumping in 3 or 4 trillion of dollars into a war that 75% of Americans don't even want to be in but we sure as hell have no problem of cutting our childrens funding to promote "Georgies folly". When do our children in the U.S.A. get a break. Bush and Angie should stay home and clean up our own mess's before trying to save the world. Lets give 3 trillion to education, social security, and health care and we wouldn't have our social problems. Oh that's right we can't afford it and God help us if we offend our war mongrels.

I'm not calling for an equal distribution of wealth and resources. Not even close. I'm not calling for the developed nations to reverse their progress. Whats done is done. Some fight for their country. Others for a much greater cause. The vast majority serve with honor. But those men and women die in vain. At the same time, the feds have been pushing more financial burden onto the states who push them lower onto the cities. Again, the hardship is felt more by the majority and less by the 1% club. The rich prefer to live in exclusive areas or upper class communities. They get the best of everything. Reliable city services, new schools, freshly paved roads, upscale parks, ect. The middle and lower class communities get little or nothing without a local tax increase. Which, they usually can't afford. So the red ink flows followed by service cuts and lay-offs. All because of the OBSCENE distribution of bottom line wealth in this country. So when people forgive the rich for their incredible greed and then praise them for paying a greater share of the FEDERAL income taxes, its like nails on a chalk board. I can not accept any theory that our economy would suffer in any way with a more reasonable distribution of wealth. Afterall, it was more reasonable 30 years ago. Before Reaganomics came along. Before GREED became such an epidemic. Before we had an army of over-paid executives, bankers, celebrities, athletes, attorneys, doctors, investors, entrepreneurs, developers, and sold-out politicians to kiss their asses. Your comment is exactly right Ellen. I for one never read JD's comments. I have read them previously and after I while I found them repetitive and rambling. I believe that JD's mostly just cuts and pastes the exact same comment and posts them on several articles and they usually have nothing to do with the story. Now whenever I see JD's remarks I just think "Blah Blah Blah..."

I'm using many different websites to further my cause. But not as an excuse for greed and hypocrisy. I would feel very different about celebrities if they didn't concentrate the world's wealth and resources in their own back yards. There is nothing that they can do to compensate for such greed. Anyway, when they ask us 'common folk' to open our wallets for charity, they are asking us to spin our wheeles in vain. I'm all for charity. We are all obligated to help the less fortunate. But there simply isn't enough wealth circulating amoung the lower 99% to pay for all the homes, basic utilities, health care, ect. So when us 'common folk' give to charity, we have less to spend elsewhere. Less to pay for product and/or service produced by another. Less to pay the kid who mowes lawns, shovels driveways, ect. So when us 'common folk' give to charity, we are only shifting the need from one person to another. Which is still better than no help at all for the less fortunate. I don't want to see the same people suffer year after year. But in order to make any real progress on a large scale, the bottom line wealth must come back down from the top. But it doesn't. The rich continue to accumulate more wealth than they 'give back'. A lot more. I DON'T CARE HOW MUCH THESE PEOPLE GIVE. THEY STILL KEEP WAY TOO MUCH. IT ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT WORK THIS WAY. This is why I despise the rich for their 'humanitarian' BS. We don't need anymore millionaire humanitarians. WE NEED FEWER MILLIONAIRES. As far as the rest of us go, I believe that we are morally obligated to conserve resources like food, energy, land, ect. Thats what I meant when I said that we are not completely innocent. But greed is relative. The 1% club are wreckless, self-centered, and irresponsible. They concentrate obscene levels of wealth and resource in their own back yards, throw back a few tax deductible crumbs, and call themselves humanitarians. This is why their bogus efforts to make the world a better place can not possibly succeed. Any 'humanitarian' progress made in one area will be lost in another. For example: Oprah built a school in Africa. That money was drawn from her ignorant fans and indirectly from the rest of us. Which means less wealth circulating amoung the middle class. Less home equity, less disposable income, and less to pay the local workforce. So more people go into debt, loose their jobs, ect. More people go on welfare and draw tax revenue away from other programs. Which means more lay-offs and service cuts. The cycle continues as we speak. Watch the local news. Nearly every middle class community in the country is struggling to balance their budget. Many are in the red. As more wealth accumulates at the top, the middle class shrinks, and the lower class expands. Causing a dominoe effect of socio-economic problems. IT ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT WORK THIS WAY. I'm all for a 3 social class system. Upper, middle, and lower. A minimum wage and a maximum wage. A 1-10 payscale with caps on bottom line wealth and consumption of resources. This would allow for some degree of world prosperity and an incentive for the workforce. But NO EXTREME WEALTH AND NO POVERTY. One causes the other. Don't take my word for it. Do the math. Play a game of Monopoly. Ask any professor of economics. Look up how Einstein felt about it. He explained the problem in detail way back in 1949. Unbridled capitalism sucks. Extreme wealth sucks. I know that a few of you see this like I do. I really do appreciate the support. We don't have to agree on all the details. We are still on the same team. Now, we are headed for the worst economic and cultural crisis of all time. I will not stand by and do nothing. I will not float around like some care-free, ignorant F***. Mother Teresa was the greatest humanitarian of all time. She tried to make the world a better place. She failed. She did slow the decent. But make no mistake. We are on a path to destruction. He gave up a million dollar contract to join the ARMY. He tried to make the world a better place by killing bad guys. Avoiding innocent civilians whenever possible. Not that he was pro-war. He wasn't. But he saw the big picture. MLK, Einstein, Mr Rogers, Mandella. All heroes of mine. They all tried to make the world a better place in their own way. Not one of them were able to achieve their goals. Even the progress made by MLK is in jeapardy. Racism is worse now, than it was 20 years ago. Almost entirely because of socio-economic factors and the ROTTEN influense of the entertainment industry. All of which can be attributed right back to GREED. Greed on the part of performers who push the envelope with inflamatory racial tones. Greed on the part of executives and producers who promote their garbage. Greed on the part of executives who outsource and pull the rug out from under entire communities. Greed on the part of executives and health care providers who drive up the cost of health care and down the benefits for workers. Greed on the part of developers who invest in predominantly white communities. Greed on the part of politicians who allow coorporate tax breaks and fuel the state vs state and city vs city RAT RACE. Greed on the part of politicians who divert funds away from lower class communities and into their own pockets. Greed on the part of the 1% club in general. GREED. It aggrivates nearly every problem of modern society. Literally making world prosperity IMPOSSIBLE. Nature is no longer the only culprit. No longer the greatest obstacle. Its GREED. I don't care what happy celebrity face you put on it. Its still just greed. By far, the most intoxicating and corrupt element of modern society. I have personally been to Calcutta. I have met volunteers with Mother Teresa's mission there. I have walked the streets and given money and food to all that I could.

I cried and was overwhelmed by the poverty there. Somebody has to do something at sometime for someone else.
