Here's why Ashlee Simpson, or Papa Joe, or whoever makes decisions for this girl, is a genius (no, I'm not smoking crack on my downtime). Normally I would never watch Ash perform anywhere, unless, of course, someone told me that it was going to be a disaster that I just couldn't miss. But, there I was, watching her sing on Jay Leno last night, in hopes to catch a glimpse of a baby bump. I sat through the whole song, waiting for just the right camera angle that would confirm all the speculation. And what did I find out? That I didn't hate her new song. It was actually pretty catchy and I could see myself singing to it in my car!

That's why she's a genius. Maybe this whole pregnancy thing is just a publicity stunt, maybe it's not. But whoever is telling her to keep the world guessing is going to be responsible for her album sales. Girl hasn't seen this much publicity since her lip synching/hoe-down dance fiasco on SNL.
