Pete Doherty is Going to Jail!

Sorry, Pete, but it's about freakin' time!

British rocker and habitual drug user/law-breaker Pete Doherty has been sentenced to 14 weeks in jail for violating his probations, his record label said. Pete's manager chimed in, telling Reuters that there were "numerous reasons" why the Babyshambles singer is being sent behind bars. "One of them was his late-coming at probation hearings."

At a court hearing in October, Kate Moss' ex admitted to a string of drug and driving offenses, and pleaded guilty to driving illegally while in possession of crack cocaine, heroin, and marijuana. After that he supposedly went to rehab, in lieu of jail, but was then allegedly caught on tape with heroin. He called the relapse a "stupid, stupid action for which I feel only shame."

I really think jail is the only way for this guy to get off the drugs but, even though he was sentenced to 14 weeks, sources say he will probably only serve a month or so. It's too bad -- they should send him to back to rehab for the other 10 weeks -- at least.

I heard that he is looking for a real relationship on a tall dating site Tallkiss.com. You may find his profile with his recent photos by searching men's profile between 22-36 on that page.

If the English prison system is anything like the one in the U.S., jail is certainly not going to get him off drugs. He should be sent to jail for the driving charges, but for the drug charges, he (and other drug offenders who are clearly severely addicted) should be sent to no-frills, lockdown rehab.

there are alot worse things in this corporate driven world than some poor musician taking a few drugs.the do gooders and rabid liberals who chastise drug users should look at the causae, not the effect.A savage brave new world where young people feel totally disinfranchised and mere cannon fodder for corporations.Their only freedom is drugs, but of course thats bad for business!
