Lucille might be OK now but when she finds out her insurance won't cover her because she was drunk driving she might feel a bit sick.

I've said it over and over, Senior citizens need and should be retested on their driving skills after they reach a certain age, for reflexes, eye sight changes, etc..., but of course if Granny is drunk, tests wouldn't have done her a bit of good. I'm just thankful no one was hurt, including the elderly lady. I also believe her family should step in and talk to her about turning over her keys. A woman of her age for darn sure knows better. I'm a 53yr. old Nana and honestly if I were to pull a stunt like that, I'd expect my daughter to take away my keys, or turn me into the police and let them take them away. Driving is a privilege not a right, screw up, lose the privilege, take a cab, take a bus, ride a bike, nah forget the bike she'd just get drunk and fall into the path of an oncoming car. I am glad things turned out okay. I too agree with Nana-Mimi from Kentucky. My daughters best friend was killed by a hit and run driver this last week, and killed he was only 19 with a new baby and his whole life ahead of him, now it;s gone and it has really been hard on everyone. My husband has diabetis and has trouble seeing to drive but I can't get him to give up his keys. I just hope and pray it doesn't take a tragedy to make him see the light and the lady who was driving drunk should think long and hard before she does something like that again, next time she could take someones life and that is not something she would want to live with for the rest of hers. If you have to drink stay home if your not home take a cab and come back the next day to get your car. From Oklahoma.
