Brangelina -- So Influential

brangieinfluential.jpg
You haters are going to love this.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have ranked No. 21 on Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People list. They are under the "Heroes & Pioneers" heading and come in just ahead of Oprah Winfrey.

In article written about the couple, by their pal George Clooney, the actor says, "It is one thing to talk about the problems of the world and quite another to actually try to change things."

"There are hundreds of people who could be honored for their good works," he continues, "But I've seen Brad and Angelina firsthand, and their commitment together is truly impressive."

What do you guys have to say about this?

FYI: I've put on my suit of armor in anticipation....

I think they should get married and change their names to
Mr and Mrs Smith!

I like both of them and they really are people trying to make changes in the world, but why does he always look so fake in pictures lately? She's gorgeous and natural looking all the time!

I love them together. They are really trying to make a difference in the world.

Yessss! Now if the rest of the us would follow suit, including me! They truly are amazing & care about the world.. such genorosity and humblesness. Go Brad and Angie!!

Ellen said:

Where is JD??? Say don't you want to say something here?

Where are you dude?

Isabel said:

Love or hate 'em.....they ARE trying to make a difference. They could SO easily just fall into getting high, nipped, tucked, and going to 'parties'. They just aren't LIKE that. They want to leave an 'imprint' on this earth somewhere besides the big screen.

Bella said:

It's awesome that they do so much, always is.
Ok here's my negativity...hate those leather bottoms, where's her stylist and does she not own any clothing that isn't black, beige, or white???

Jan said:

Jolie is a huge influence on any happily married man she chooses to sleep with. As far as being an influence on anything else, that is all a smoke screen to try and redeem themselves for being the pigs they are!

seesaw said:

She is dressed like the whore she is. Brad looked so much better when he was with Jen. He looks like a worn out old man now. Influence my ass! They are gross!

ewwwwww said:

Could her forhead get any bigger? My god, she is a buttaface! He looks horrible now. She has really ruined Brad. Hope all those rugrats are worth it. I am sure that piece of ass that attracted him to begin with is spoiled rotten by now. ewwwwww...

Oh please said:

Oh please, give me a break. I wonder how much they had to dish out to get this printed. They are still trying to get some respect back. I hate it for ya Brad & Ang. It will never happen. Move on and please stop throwing bullshit at us. We know what kind of human beings you are. All the payed phony PR will never help you get that back. Go have an orgy or something, but please stop insulting Americans with crap like this.

The last four comments are from AJ Hater. She is so freaking obsessed with Brangelina!

These two deserve the rank in this most impressive list. They are what makes humankind something to make God proud.

Jan, not many people who are separated from their wives, as Brad was in January of 2005, are happily married.

If you aren't truly passionate about a non-profit cause, you don't stay with it for 8 years. They are doing just what celebs should with their fame and access to media: spreading the word and raising awareness for causes they support.

You know what I like about this couple? They let their kids be kids. Sure they are your overprivleged, daddy and mommy have an as$ load of money, children, but they wear regular clothes, and eat regular kid food. Their mommy doesn't have them eating "all natural" wholesome food..they eat McDonalds and Cheetos, just like all of us working folk give their kids. They are as real as you can be while be A list celebs. Plus that shiloh is a dolly. I want to pinch those cute cheeks!

Bella said:

You respect them bc they let their kids eat unhealthy food??? I don't have much money, but I make sure my daughter gets healthy meals..I don't even get your point.

mary said:

since when do cheetos and mcdonald's fall into "normal" food categories??? YUK!!!!

I have to state my position here, I'm hard workin' folk' and in no way will my son touch McD's or cheetos. Try Carrots and home-made burgers, lady! Your kids are the future... give them a good start with proper nutrition.

Hooves said:

What loveygirl was saying for those who can't read between the lines is that just because their parents are Brangelina, Shiloh, Maddox and the gang are still normal and doing things that everyday kids do rather than put on some expensive, wierd path/diet from birth, they occasionaly visit a cheap fast food joint. They're "regular" kids!! Don't take things so literally, jees. And making a burger from home isn't much healthier, mary, a burger is still a burger. In fact, it could be worse because there's usually more to a homemade burger quantity-wise.

Otherwise, I'm glad to see Brangelina on this list. I don't know who it was up there that said it, but when someone gives so many years of their lives to a cause, it's past the "doing this only for PR" stunt. They truly care and are giving as much of themselves as possible to what they believe in.

The upper 1% of the people make all the money and shit on the other 99%, there Ellen, there's your J.D. fix. I think Brad and Angie are sincere on their projects and children, and as all parents, are not perfect in raising their children. If you look at american children one in three are over weight, do to junk food. That said, good luck Brad and ANGIE ON YOUR FUTURE PROJECTS, wish I had your money to help.

hey sucker said:

Hooves;

Read between what lines? NORMAL kids go to one school, have roots, have friends they see everyday. Uprooting your kids all the time in NOT NORMAL. Maddox should be in kindergarten with his friends. And don't give me this how wonderful his life is BS. A 6 year old could give a sh*t about being in all these exotic places.

Also, hamburgers at home don't have hydrogenated oil and ARE healthy when using ORGANIC lean ground beef. Cheetos also have hydrogenated oil. Sounds like you need to go read labels at Whole Foods. My kids eat Cheetos and McD's as a major treat.

Sounds like you need to read between Brangelina's lines and see the BS they are feeding you and you are buying. There's a fool born every minute and Brangelina thanks God for people like you.

Ellen said:

Say that reminds me of J.D.a bit Dr, but not enough detail...

Just wondered where he got off to, he usually enters Brangelina blogs before now.

Maybe he met someone and is out having a life. Hope so :)

Hi Ellen. How's life treating you? Has JD been back back on since you told him he should try and push his cause elsewhere?? Can't remember the exact wording of the post, although not that harsh, I remember JD not seeming too impressed by it....back to not trusting you etc. I know many people have told him to rack off before, but I was wondering if he had taken you up your advice, as I don't recall seeing him since then.

Ellen said:

Hi NLH

I don't know. Hope he didn't leave on my account. I just like to give him something more to think about, but I mean no harm. I actually miss him here. I hope he is outside having some fun and lightening up a little.

The good Dr and him were having words too...but I really don't think any one of us chased him off :) He is a big boy, no doubt he is fine, just busy thinking up new ways to communicate his beliefs maybe.

Good luck JD :)

Stock photos of Brange are getting boring...how many photos of these guys must there be??

How are you and your babe?

Ellen said:

Hi nlh :)

Well I couldn't take responsibility for that...I don't think any one person could persuade JD to give up the cause.

Not that I would want to of course. Just trying to help him probably in my own way.

Maybe he went outside to lighten up and play for a while.

This blog is not as fun without him...( go ahead Dr bite me!)

How are you and your babe? Hope all is well down under.

On topic, wish they would use different photos of these two.

Must be a few around!

Ellen said:

Sorry about the extra post here, seems to be a delayed responce to them here.

I had time to rewrite and repost before the first one came out.

Weird, but didn't want you to think I was ignoring you :)

Like I mentioned ( twice ) the photos are lame...for one of the most photographed couple in the world, really.

Hi Ellen,

Bubs and I are well. Am very happy to say that Bub's sight has improved dramatically!!! Wish we had never gotten it diagnosed, as basically we've grieved for nothing. Well in the sense, that it was implied he was likely to be blind, to us now knowing that he can see, How well is another story, (have to wait till older) but he can still see. So as you can imagine I am over the moon.

Sorry didn't mean for it to sound like I was implying that you had driven JD away. It's just that I thought he may have thought about what you said, with your great wisdom (what a suck I am, eh??) and actually followed your advice. As he did disappear for a while. But I'm glad to see he's back. Was actually wondering if he was sitting back reading the posts, and trying to work out if he was right about us posting under multiple names etc. LOL

I agree re; using a different photo, I'm sure there are a lot more that could be used that are nicer than this one. Although I don't know what people are going on about when they say how horrible Brad looks. I think that he is still a very handsome looking man. Don't like his dress sense that much, but he's still hot!!

Hi JD, good to see you're back. Like Ellen, I too, hope that you were outside having some fun, whilst you were AWOL from this site.

Ellen said:

Well now that JD is back he can monitor some stuff here...like greed and hypocrisy in Hollywood. I am sure there is lots to comment on. Especially with the apparent coming recession! ( the US war in Iraq is seriously messing up the economy isn't it...)

Fuel,& food prices are insane, and what about the increased concerns about public safety issues...the ones who have the most have the most to defend/protect. Are the tax payers funding this security? I hope the ones who need to protect the gold in the safe fund their own security at least. I like JLo as an entertainer, but lately I see her need to have a show as soon aa the babies are born as at least in bad taste, in a struggling economy. Is that ego or greed or just a new Mom having fun? You decide.I am confused about it.

I think we have to think seriously about who and what way of life are we protecting? I am still disturbed by Tom's birthday binge. I found that shocking to advertise in these times. All the references to that much cake was too much, an analogy just waiting to be made.

Let's hope Brad and Angie recognize the bigger opportunity for setting a public example of giving more and keeping less.

With great wealth comes great responsibility. Angie must know that, maybe she has a plan and uses her money as a fund for ongoing humanitarian work, and maybe they do have plans to increase that fund. I sure hope so.

NLH- It's too funny how some people comment on Brad losing his looks! Yeah right.

Ellen said:

NLH-

Wow, that is great news about your baby! I hope his eyesight cont to improve! He is young too, so lots of developments ahead in the world of eye and vision treatments/care.

Good luck!

Jolie is a slut and Brad is so stupid, he deserved to lose all of Hollywood's respect, and he has. Jolie never had it to begin with, so she didn't lose as much as he has.

Boy are you THAT dim?! You do realize you're writing your idiocy on a thread about how much they ARE respected, and how much influence they DO weld. Gee whiz, give it a rest because it's old, anceint, tired, and it makes you looke stupid to boot.

Ellen said:

BTW-

Just HOW dim is that?

no longer hurting said:

Hi Ellen - In response to your J Lo comment, I think it is all greed. I have never thought that much of her, as she goes on about being from "the block", and how she'll always remember where she come from BUT how much has she given to the poor needy people of the block???

In my opinion she doesn't want to fall off the radar. As wasn't there talk of her doing a reality show?? To me that's exploiting the bubs just to further her career. As no one can honestly say that it's in the babies best interests.

I understand that there are a lot of people that dislike Brange, but honestly, at least they are giving/doing something. They could sit back and give/do nothing like a lot of celebs out there. As for the tax right off, this may be so, but hell don't we all try and claim as much back as possible. How many people have made a donation to a needy charity, to then ensure they have hung onto the receipt so it can be claimed at the end of the financial year. I know I have. At least their tax right off is going to a good cause, and not on a luxury car, yacht, jet, holiday etc like so many wealthy people do.

We are feeling it over here in Aust too. Petrol is now around $1.55 per litre, food prices have sky rocketed (due to the cost of petrol, the devastating drought, and the greed of the large companies wanting to keep the profit margin through the roof). Mortgage rates have been increasing quicker than I'm aging. The bank I'm with is one of the largest in the world, and they have up'd my interest rate 3 times (outside of the Reserve Bank rises) They claim it's about the Global Market etc but it's all bull sh&%. They are still making millions of dollars profit each quarter. It's pure greed!!!!! Even though it will cost me to re-finance, I'm still going to change Lenders on principle! Although, it won't change anything!! Everyone needs to take a stand and boycott these companies. Until then it's never going to change. It's the same as these big super market chains putting their prices up constantly, once again people need to boycott them and start shopping at the smaller grocery stores. Go buy fruit and vegies at the little green grocer. It would probably be cheaper and fresher anyway!! Force these big corporations to keep costs for the consumer down. Then the consumer may have a chance to actually live a comfortable life, instead of busting their guts, to make the corporate bosses richer.

BOYCOTT PEOPLE!! BOYCOTT!!

Now I've got that off my chest, I had better head off and tidy the house, whilst bubs is asleep.

If this double posted, sorry everybody, but it has taken so long to come up, so I'm re-sending it. I now always copy my posts, as most of my postings never seem to go through. Saves re-typing!!
