Well, it does seem strange, but seeing as Mel's wife and Brit's Dad will be there, doesn't seem so bad. Let us all just try to think positive and give the benefit of the doubt, maybe Mel thinks of Brit as a daughter or just a good friend and this get away may just be a nice gesture. :o)

Wow, who is Tracy and what is going on? I always get the news from this site but this is my first time commenting and I decided to read the other comments and wow. LOL, can't we all just get along. But yea, I think I agree, a real good journalist, reporter, whatever usually just reports the gossip and keeps their personal opinion out of it.

Frankly I have to agree... it doesn't seem strange to me. Mel is probably a mentor of sorts to her. Seriously you pointed out some similarities.. so maybe he is trying to help her on her path. Give them a Break! I think Mel is trying to help Britney. He has children her age. He is wise. Many people have wanted to help Britney, probably you have thought of it too! Many stars have mentioned it. I saw Rosie and Heide Klum both offer their assistance on TV. If Mel can help her then good for him! Why do people have to look for the bad in everything. It is not creepy, in my opinion. Creepy is Michael Jackson with a monkey and his children with scarfs sheilding their faces! I hope they have a Professional Nanny!

I agree I with Bella. You peeps are too harsh and negative even when someones trying to change....theres no mercy here. Hell he's probably trying to help her salvage whats left of her self esteem. I think he is just trying to help her get her life back on track, if that is possible. It would be nice to see her un-self-destruct. Maria Carey had a bit of a breakdown a few years back with much nasty speculation- she got it together ( with the exception of her marriage to that GUY)and had a fabulous comeback. Mel is helping Britney because he is Bipolar also, he said so in an interview a few years ago. She needs someone in the same position as her to give her support. He has been through it too and she can benefit from his experience. She needs to know everything she can about bipolar, her kids may very well have it when they grow up. I have a son with it & he does awesome because I have researched & educated him & I hope Britney gets the help she needs. It is very sad that her breakdown was in the public eye, it will take her a long time to live this down, and it was not even the real her.
