There is nothing greater in this life than bringing your child into the world, however that is achieved, and if that child is loved by both parents, it is doubly blessed, no matter its living arrangments. I think Clay will make an ideal father and I think he has a lot to give a child, and I am not speaking monetary things here. Tina, that's what artificial insemination is............taking the males sperm and injecting it in the woman during her fertile time. They used HIS sperm, that makes him the biological father. And I say..................YES FOR THE GAY COMMUNITY!!!!!

Hey Wait a minute people. First of all, Clay is a person, he is a great singer, a very nice person so why pick on him?Does it really matter to anyone if he is gay or not, we don't like him because he is or isn't. We like him because he can sing up a storm, and he should have won A I. He has done more recording and TV shows than Rubin ever has, Clay has not been associated with people who use drugs like Rubin was accused of being, but it is their lives, I am just glad that they both can sing well and that we can enjoy their voices and thank heaven there are singers other than the Rap singers. It is really nice to hear soft easy going songs.

Thanks for Tim's,Shoshana's, Butter's,& PJ's comments. I'm so very tired of seeing/hearing people sit in judgement of others. None of us ask to be born the way we are for one reason or another. Give "everyone" peace & take care of your own garden. I'm sure it has some weeds in it too.

It really amazes me at how very cruel people can be. It's a sad state of affairs. I do notice that there is fortunately a slow turning of the wheel where individuals are gaining "some" wisdom.

Wow, I'm really stunned. Not that Clay, a teacher & advocate for kids with disabilities, UNICEF ambassador & someone who's always talked about desperately wanting his own family, is having a child. That's not surprising at all. What is shocking is that the readers of a website for, by & about WOMEN, are just as immature, crass, & ignorant on the issue of career women having babies later in life, & in understanding why a person from a broken home who had no real father would want to be one, as the brainless losers who populate such scumsucking sites as TMZ & Perez Hilton. I don't know why I expected more humanity here, but I'm very sad & disappointed that it seems to exist nowhere in celebrity cyberspace this week. I'm kind of ashamed of iVillage right now.

Clay Aikens gay or straight can have a family and will probably be a great father! And all this fuse blowing over an older woman....what gives?
