Barack Obama Is Like (& Loves!) A Rolling Stone

I'm not telling you who to vote for in the upcoming Presidential election -- that is certainly not the Daily Blabber girl's purpose on this earth. But it is my job to bring you cool and interesting happenings in the world of pop culture, as I see fit, which is why I'm posting this.

I LOVE this cover of the new Rolling Stone. And, yes, I do want to know who Barack Obama is listening to on his iPod. Hell, I'm thrilled to know he has an iPod.

Anyway, the Democratic presidential contender says he likes all different types of music; from Springsteen, Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones, to Earth Wind and Fire and Stevie Wonder (his hero), to Jay-Z and Ludacris.

Will this sway your vote either way come November? Probably not (actually, I really hope it's not what you base your decision on), but, let's say you run into to Barack at the local Starbucks -- you now know you can break into your favorite verse of "Big Pimpin'" and he'll probably sing along.

My job is done.

I'm sure he is a great guy, but I must stick with McCain.

He is a BIG Creep. I PRAY he doesn't get elected. I agree with Kim....God help us if he does.

How is he a creep, Melissa? I think he's able to make people feel empowered who never have before. His policies show he is extremely bright. He is also the only candidate to have put together a comprehensive plan for withdrawal from Iraq that takes into account the lives of Iraqis and the need to rebuild. I am a proud Republican, but this man's got my vote.

WHY won't people vote for Obama? Because they get nasty emails and believe them. Because their friends and family are Republican and they believe them. Many people in this country are unable to think for themselves and scrutinize the issues and data. It takes work to be informed. Much easier to think about what celebrity got caught doing or what to wear today or to just key in a few name-callings or ignorant remarks. It is not my intent to insult, but it is time to change the downward spiral our country is heading because of our current administration. If your family brings in more than $500,000 a year, disregard what I'm saying. You don't need to worry about healthcare, the economy, jobs, the war. The Republicans WILL take care of you.

Ali said it well, but I will add my 2 cents worth. No matter what nonsense I hear about Obama, none of it is credible and often makes no sense (i.e. the muslim, christian stuff). The internet is a wonderful thing if you use it right. Go to candidates web sites and read their plans on the issues. Try to get info from more than one source. (hint; Fox news is not the almighty.) Heck try to listen to or READ foreign news if you care about foreign policy.
Obama has real plans that sound great to me. How do I know what his real plans are? Well, I didn't trust his enemies although I did check out what they said. Read them at his official web site. Go to the snopes sites Ali gave above.
I ask you all, are you better off than you were 4, 8 years ago? Is our nation stronger? I know my answer and because I know no one who has a personal income over $400,000 (Bush tax cut), I know the answer for the people in my life.
Please don't cotinue the blind loyalties you may have. Open your mind and learn some facts...please.
