I wish that I could afford some of that stuff. I find it interesting that these people would pay extra for cashmere stuff. I'm loving that they are settled now and the kids will have a permanent place to call home for a very long time! I bet either Brad or Angelina will get antzy though and they'll start leaving eachother at home during movie shoots and that is probably where they will need to work on their relationship the most.

It is a little surprising that they would spend so much on unnecessary items considering how much they like to donate to other countries and such. You would think they would be a little more frugal. Pink chandaliers and cashmere toys....give me a break!! I thought when they had Shiloh they only wanted to put her in neutral colors! Must be nice to spend so much on useless items when so many can barely keep food on the table!!

JD, do you realize what you post on a blog is often more than your hardest working college student writes on an essay? Granted, they have a better grasp of the English language than you do...

I happen to think it's cute what they did for the nursery. I'm kind of into interior design and I'll admit that while I buy everything else cheap, I want things in my home to be nice. And...actually, baby spit (well, stains in general) comes off of cashmere better than cotton. Cotton just absorbs it instantly; with cashmere you have a bit of time to wipe it off with minimum stainage. :D

And with that whole arguement of them spending money when others are starving...it's kind of like your mother telling you to eat all your food because of that reason. Can you send your leftovers to Africa? Nooooo... And Brangelina does give back some; should they have to give everything at the drop of a hat simply because they're rich? I don't think so. Because they're rich they give more than most because they can; but they could also choose to hoard their wealth. Most of the people bitching about them probably haven't given a dime to charity in 10 years.

Personally, I have little liking for Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt. However, by spending money on (admittedly) luxury items, they do give work and income to people who need it. Brad's ex is now acting crazy (what's with the latest toy boy hookup?) but she still got a raw deal. Angelina has been quoted as saying she would never steal a married man--she saw the sadness caused by her father when he ditched Angelina's mom for another woman. On the other hand, Brad Pitt is partly to blame too. The children (especially the adopted ones) are fortunate to have all that wealth--it's like winning the lottery! Hope the newest arrivals will be healthy, perfect little girls. As I myself (sadly) know, we can't choose our parents.

Tom Cruise is suing Petit Tresor for making up stories about things they've supposedly purchased for Suri. They are known liars.

Can't be done? With forethought I think it could. Just don't prepare so much food for kids that don't want or need it, and then there would be more for Africa in the first place.
