I am in agreement with what Gerry and Eliza say about Tom and personally I think Tom has flown the Cookoo's nest (if your get my drift). Plainly: He's gone wacko on us! I feel bad for him really I do and I still love him as an actor - but he's totally creepy to me as a person.

Dr. Drew I think honestly didn't mean any harm and wasn't trying to offend. Sometimes our words can be easily misunderstood and taken out of the context in which tey were meant. It is easy to mistake someone's innocent words as slander.

I got off the Tom Cruise band wagon 3-4 years ago. Anyone who considers Scientology as a religion is a little nuts. It's basically a self-help program. That's all well and good, but to label it a religion is beyond crazy. Tom is so far out on his views of life (based on what I've heard him say himself in interviews) that I just found it impossible to support him in any way. I know Scientology favors celebrities which, I would think, is one reason Tom thinks he's such hot stuff. He lives in a world that, IMHO, makes it impossible for him to relate to the realities of life that exist outside of his warped world.

Dr Drew all the way! Tom Cruise lost his mind years ago and I think what the doc said was actually pretty mild. Any 'religion' started by a science fiction writer who was certifiably insane will only attract more insanity.

Like they say,,,,the truth hurts!! If what Dr Drew was saying was far from being the truth, Tom would have laughed it off and thought nothing of it. I have to agree with the majority of the comments. Cruise has lost any credibility (well as actors go that is) he ever had. I lost any respect for him years ago during the couch jumping-Matt Lauer brawl-Brooke bashing days...and I wont pay money to see any of his movies anymore...and one thing I have discovered after renting Lions For Lambs (which was a pretty good flick and would have made more money had he not been involved with it-mistake on Redfords part there)is that Tom Cruise plays the same %$#@ part in every role. If you go back and look at some of the great acting preformances from the like of Daniel Day Lewis, Russel crowe, PSHoffman, Denzel, Clooney just to name some recent winners....They are in a totally different universe of acting than cruise...he just plays the same thing over and over, just changes clothes...the veins may pop out of his neck and forehead but thats the extent of his acting ablilities. And his antics over the past few years isn't helping his image. Not even the little Oprah-at-my-home interview did a thing. His star will continue to fade. Poor katie....I give that marriage 5 more years at least before she wakes up and walks like Nicole had to do. Its a shame.

Tom Cruise is hypocritical. He can openly slam Brooke Shields for treating her postpartum depression with prescription drugs without having met her, without having a medical license, without being a woman and having experienced postpartum depression first hand, but Lord help you if your medical doctor/addiction specialist (people can become addicted to religions and cults, right?) who may have some knowledge of this "religion" called Scientology and the type of people who flock to it, and may have some suspicions about why one of it's most famous members behaves they way he does when he openly discusses his Scientology belief for all the world to see.

Personally, I think people made too much out of he whole Oprah couch jumping thing (since when has enthusiasm become a bad thing?) and there's been way too much media attention thrown at his relationship with Katie Holmes and their baby, but I'm not liking how he appears to immediately come out swinging whenever someone questions his religious beliefs. He is very defensive about Scientology and the doctrine that it espouses in a scary fanatical kind of way.

Scientology is Evil and must be stopped.

ANY high profile celebrity in the Cult trying to promote any movie or product in the future well have so many protesters at the event or premier, the cults crimes well be the only thing talked about. It is laughable that a high school dropout is criticizing a man with a medical degree. Tom Cruise should take some of those antidepressants he hates so much. Don't know Dr Drew, wouldn't have much trust in his integrity after this though. He blew it. He could have just blogged away, anonymously, but instead named names and hurt someone. Unfortunate. If he is giving this interview as "Dr Drew" then he needs to maintain some level of professionalism. Just my opinion.

Yes I would like to see Tom show compassion for anything else beyond self service, but that is a different topic.
