Jessica's Dad Wants A Big Piece of Tony Romo
Ah, the new Us Weekly. I'm not going to lie -- I wait with bated breath for my postman to deliver the glossy goodness every week -- but I'm a little over the whole "Joe Simpson is a money hungry scammer" angle.
We know all of this already. He's always been super-creepy and way too involved in his daughters' (who are grown women) lives, but now the mag says that not only did Joe say he could sell the story of Jessica Simpson's and Tony Romo's engagement (that hasn't happened yet) for big bucks, but that wants to manage Tony's football career! A source said that Jessica's dad asked her boyfriend to "drop his agent so he could take over his NFL career and $67.5 million contract."
Talk about having a set!
When asked about his superclose involvement with Jess, Ashlee and their men, Joe defended himself.
"It’s unfair to criticize me for what every manager does for his or her clients," he responded. "And in this business, where people can quickly turn on you, who better than a parent to be working for his children?"
So, tell me. Does Joe get a bad rap? Is he really just looking out for the girls' best interest? Or is he a total sleaze, like I think he is?

I think sleaze. I think he should let his children take care of themselves. It is like adult peter pan syndrome. get over it you are grown and your kids are gone.. find a hobby that isnt tearing your children's lives up....

Joe simpson obviously does not know there is a world of difference between having a child's best interest and destroying that interest. Jessica needs to tell him to get off her case asap.
I don't see the big deal. My 4 month old is taking Kinder-Care music classes and we're told she is a prodigy. I already had the paperwork drawn up and I am now her official manager. She'll be releasing her cover of "Wheels on the Bus" later this summer. Why shouldn't I want direct involvement? I see what happens with those 2 and 3 year olds when they're mismanaged. Next thing you know they're 5 and auditioning to play young Cosette in some bumbletown rendition of Les Miserables! No way is that happening to my daughter!
Tell Joe to go get his own clients and quit bothering the girls. GET A LIFE JOE!!! If left to your own devices you would probably go bankrupt, I mean look what you've done to help Jessica.
I've thought that man was a sleaze ever since he made comments about his daughter's breast size....his own DAUGHTER!!

Those girls will figure it out eventually. Too bad they will have lost spouses, jobs, future jobs and possibly even their own children. When you start making comments about your daughters boobs, it's time to throw in the towel and stay home.

He's a sleaze!!!!! He name drops his daughters when they aren't even there! I worked at a bar in downtown Austin and he was a total. Ass the the entire staff saying that he was important and could do whatever he wanted because he was Jessica Simpson's father. Opportunistic asshole that he is.
Joe Simpson is SCUM, I got that impression the first time I saw him, and what dad would talk about his daughters boobs, he is sick and sick looking, those girls need to drop him like a bad habit, and the nerve of him to approach Tony regarding his career and their Tony & Jessica's personal life
I say Tony is just the guy to put ol' Joe in his place.
