Patrick Swayze -- Well Enough To Work
Hey, here's some good news.
Everyone's favorite dancer, Patrick Swayze, who has been battling pancreatic cancer, is going back to work! According to the Hollywood Reporter, A&E has just ordered 13 episodes of Pat's new series, The Beast. The actor has been cleared by his doctors to play the role of an unorthodox FBI veteran who trains a new partner while being pursued by a secret Internal Affairs team.
The show will film in Chicago this summer and is set to premiere in 2009.
"I have searched for quite a long time to find a character that is this multi-layered, unpredictable and downright entertaining, as well as a project this current and cutting-edge," Patrick said in a statement.
See, nobody puts Johnny Castle in a corner -- not even cancer.

I always liked his movies I remember the first time I saw him act in "NORTH AND SOUTH"

Who are these idiots that show up everywhere posting about "seeking rich.com" and "sugarmatchmaker" or selling guitars, or whatever? Obviously they can't read or spell because they would know that their "comments" have absolutely nothing to do with the subject of the blog. Patrick is a wondeful faithful man. I have known him since childhood. We danced together. Him mom taught me a tap routine for a competition which I took 1st place in. He was a sweet guy then, an so was Lisa. He became a great actor. My heart was breaking when I read of his illness, but . I commemd him for going back to work, instead of wallowing in self pity. If anyone can beat this thing, he can, and I pray every single day for his recovery. No, I am not a bible thimper, but I do pray. I wish him all well, and keep the faith.

I am myself a breast cancer survivor, and I know how difficult it is the chemoteraphy and all that, so I just pray for his health and I hope that he is completely free of cancer.
