Find Out Matthew McConaughey's Son's Name
So, have any guesses on what Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves named their new baby boy?
Surfer? No. Shirtless? No. Alright? No. Livin'? No -- but close.
Levi Alves McConaughey. That's his name -- Levi.
Why, you ask? Well, apparently, Matt is a pretty religious dude (who knew?).
"Levi was another name for the apostle Matthew in The Bible. They were, in fact, two names for the same person," revealed the actor, to OK! "Our son was born at 6:22 pm, and this particular time represents my favorite verse in the book of Matthew in The Bible: 'If thy eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light.'"
Side note: I read this to my husband and we both admitted we have no idea what that verse means. Can anyone help us out?
In addition, Matt and Camila issued this statement to all of their fans and friends who are sending their love:
"We welcome Levi Alves McConaughey into this wonderful life and look forward to living in it with him. In the mean time and all times, just keep livin'. "

I think he was using a really antiquated translation...my Bible has it as: "The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light."
Which basically means, if you keep your eyes on things that are good and wholesome (put good things into your body and senses), then your whole self will be good and full of light. At least that's how I take it, although I know some commentators believe that Jesus was also making a play on a common saying of the time to make another point.
Yes, I think it just means that if your eye is single (to God's glory) thy whole body shall be filled with the (light of Christ)
I like that it's a normal name and that it is another name for Matthew. You can tell they thought it through and still made sure it was a normal name.

He's an adult and so is his girlfriend - if they want to have children out of wedlock, then so be it. We pick on Jamie-Lynn because she is a child having children. What's right about that? She's a fool and no role model. Considering which family her baby is being born into, I wish her the best of luck because she'll need it! I hope Britny doesn't babysit.
How did he know my favorite name? Now if I have a son and name him that I'll be copying plus he won't have a unique but normal name any longer. Arggghhhhh. . . .
It doesn't matter how old you are, having a baby out of wedlock is the same either way and Spears is young, naive and made a mistake but Matthew knows what he is doing so either way it's no different...why doesn't Matthew get married? He's an adult and they love each other?
