Hayden Panettiere Gives Up Bubble Gum For Candies
So, of course, Heroes star Hayden Panettiere has an album coming out -- who doesn't, right? And, I swear, I was all ready to be the biggest anti-singing cheerleader in the world, searching my brain for all the witty negative things I could say about her music, but, I have to admit, I kind of like her first single.
"Wake Up Call" is being featured in the new ads for Candies (which Hayden obviously stars in), and it's not your typical bubble gummy pop tune. It has a bit of an edge, a slight reggae feel, if you will. And, after hearing the 30-second clip, I actually wanted more!
I don't know what this says about me -- am I losing my edge in my old-age? Am I becoming soft? Have I just been so jaded by the Heidi Montag's of the world that this actually sounds good to me? Listen for yourself and get back to me -- one of you has to see what I'm saying, right? Right?

Yuck. Garbage. I didn't mind Heidi's song, but Hayden's is irritating and the lyrics are lame...Just cause you're cute doesn't mean you should do it all (movies, bad singles, etc.).
I actually like it too! I think it has a good beat to it, and she has a natural voice, and she doesn't seem to be over doing it (Hello Heidi). It definitely left me wanting more!!
It's not a bad song. It's just too generic for my taste. It sounds like a wannabe Gwen Stefani/Paris Hilton Song.
I do like the reggae beat for sure... couldn't really find anything to complain about! She looks more natural than some others I've seen go from acting to music... good luck Hayden and keep your head on straight!
You ARE losing your hard-edge. If that wasn't bubble gum then Miley Cyrus must be channelling Debbie Harry. Come on! I mean, I like Hayden but please, no more 19 year old pop-tart actress-come-singers!!!!!!
Not too bad... I would listen to more.
